Decent accommodation for its price and location. Very helpful and friendly staff, explained to us how to get to the centre and gave us a free map. The room was clean, towels, bath robe and soap provided. Also a welcome chocolate which was very nice. The shared toilet and shower were also clean but shower drain was blocked. One downside...

This is an exceptionally clean and well-run establishment. Breakfasts are superb & generous. Our room (with toilet/sink in room & shower in hall) was very spacious with lots of windows and nice table/chairs. Plenty of storage for your things. Linens very clean and bed comfy. Cleaning staff were professional & kind. Lovely, quiet courtyard where we could also keep our...

Read the other reviews! I was in a very large room for a week, with olde Euro style toilet and shower down the hall. No problem - slippers and a robe provided, and I never had to wait for either facility. There were a few of each on the floor. All super clean. The whole place seems unpretentious (stairs and...

My sister and I stayed here for 5 nights in July 2016. We had a 2nd floor room with its own ensuite. The bedroom was simply huge, overlooking a peaceful courtyard. Great value and good location. The entire facility is spotless. Two disappointments - there were no English TV channels available, despite having cable TV - not even CNN. There...

My family of four (myself, husband and our two 20-something daughters) stayed in a Family Apartment at Pension Kraml for 4 nights in May 2016. Pension Kraml was a wonderful value; we stayed for Youth Hostel prices and had hotel-quality lodgings. We will recommend Pension Kraml and we hope to return to Vienna and stay here again ourselves I chose...

I stayed here on a solo trip to Vienna in June. When I booked, there were no single rooms left available, so I was offered a double room at 44 euro per night. As it were, I ended up with a triple room all to myself, which felt very luxurious! At a price on par with hostels I've stayed in...

No major issues with this place. Very solid all around. Staff was nice and helpful. The room (2 people w/ shower and toilet) was actually pretty large. Almost like an apartment size. Breakfast was in a nice cafe-like area. Cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses, meats, juices, breads, butter/jam, etc. Located ~7 min walk from metro Zieglerstrasse. Good neighborhood, even at...

I stayed several nights with my mom in her seventies. Best location, close to subway, bus stops, and shops everything. Best of all, we could feel like home. Very clean, well organized, very cozy and rich breakfast. Our room was located on the second floor, they call, but actually it was on the third floor, very confusing European naming for...

Like many others writing here, this was a return visit to the Pension Kraml and it didnt disappoint. This pension is super clean, super friendly and super comfortable. The staff are a great resource and nothing is ever a problem. It's also very close to pretty much anything you may want to see while visiting Vienna, the U Bahn is...

When I brought my parents to the Kraml to check-in they immediately invited me to join for breakfast, so I could even spent breakfast time with my family in Kraml! The pension is...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
