My parents and I stayed at Pension Kraml for 4 nights in September 2010. We booked the family room on the 1st floor (which was handy because there are no lifts). The location is great : You can take the bus and reach Burgring (where most of the museums are located) in 10 mins. Pilgramgasse tube station is nearby as...

We stayed for 7 nights at the Pension Kraml and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a little dated, so if you're looking for something modern this is the wrong choice for you. The room was very quiet and had a small fridge and TV. The breakfast was incredible, buffet style. Lots of cheese, bread and meat and it really...

We booked an apartment which is big enough for 4 people. The location is great (near Mariahilferstrasse which is a great place to shop) and you have everything in that area like cinemas, bars, restaurants. The apartments are a newish concept for Fam. Kraml and a very good one too. The apartment we had was the bigger one (72 sq.m.)...

What a great experience at this cozy family run pension. We checked in late, but the owners were so kind to wait for us and were so friendly when they took us to our room. The room was huge, very clean, very comfortable, sooo quiet and the rates can not be beat! There are a lot of stairs so be...

Very welcoming host. Elegant spacious hotel. Located near an excellent restaurant (recommended by hosts) and plenty of other restaurant choices. A 15 minute walk to the museums quarter, and about 5-10 minute taxi ride to Westbahnhof Station. Very spacious room. The room was clean and well maintained, with older style furniture. We chose to have a room with shared bathroom...

I stayed at Pension Kraml for a week in April and it offered excellent value. I stayed in a single room and paid 35euro a night, which was only slightly more expensive than Viennese hostels. The location is amazing, only two tube stops from the Nachsmarket, very easy to get to the centre of town or go shopping. The room...

We booked the Pension Kraml based on the reviews here. The Pension itself is clean and the breakfast was exceptional. What we were taken aback by was the unfriendly reception we received. We took the night train from Krakow to Vienna and arrived at 6 AM. We were advised that the earliest we could come to the Pension was 7:30...

I stayed 4 nights at the Pension in late April. We choose the cheapest room at 56 Euros with a shared bathroom. The room was much larger than I expected, about 15' x 15' with a 9'+ foot ceiling. There was a big sink with shelving beside to stow all our toiletries. Two single beds made up beside each other...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
