Im from Mexico and went to Tromsø last month to see the northern lights and I stayed here, was a really good choice. The room is always clean, the only thing is you can sometimes hear the boats and birds so loud. People is so nice and willing to help you, you have breakfast and afternoons you also can prepare...

We spent 7 nights at Amalie Hotel and extremely happy with our stay. A cosy, modest and clean hotel in a top location with affordable room rates. A few minutes walk to town centre, tourist information is around the corner and it is also next door to two large hotels where many of the tour groups pick-up (for both day...

Lovely hosts, very clean, quiet. Not a thing to complain about, nice breakfast, decent coffee. Small room as expected. I rated it very good, I should probably change to excellent based upon value. I enjoy luxury hotels, and this is not one, but it certainly delivered as much or more than expected for the price. Location was perfect. I did...

Loved this hotel. This is not a chain hotel. They let us check in early. Room was small and simple but fine for one person. Bed was very comfortable and warm after a nice of chasing the northern lights. Breakfast was really good. It was open until 10 which was nice after the late evening. Very reasonable and staff were...

Nice hotel in centre of Tromso handy for all amenities. Bedrooms comfy, staff helpful and friendly and breakfast delicious. Standard of rooms and furnishing good and a good place to stay. Coffee and biscuits permanently on tap in dining room and free pancakes in afternoon. A nice place to stay - as is Tromso.

Loved this little hotel. Very central in Tromso. So close to travel links and to choices for exploring this beautiful area. Staff were smiley and as helpful as possible. Breakfast was plentiful. Ok, the room was cosy, but held all needed for a base and a bed. We didn't come to stay all day in a bedroom! We saw awesome...

This hotel met our needs for a clean, centrally located hotel with a comfy bed. It's a tad bit run down in some areas--there were water stains on the bathroom ceiling tiles and a strange, cabbage-like smell in the hallways (but thankfully not in the room)--but for the price, it was perfectly fine and I'd certainly consider staying there again.

We stayed 4 nights at the Amalie Hotel and left a couple of days ago. We found it to be perfectly placed for Tromso town centre and most links to most things! While the room was compact, it was perfectly functional, after all, it is only needed for washing, changing and sleeping! It meet all of those needs with ease....
