We were interested in accommodation not too far from the station (10 min walk) and that did not cost an arm's length for one night. It's a smart hotel where checkin and communication are handled via message (SMS and email). They are all mini apartments with kitchenette / kitchen and table in one solution and a couple of meters further on the double. We spent there the first and last night of the holiday, more than enough. Possibility to adjust by themselves temperatures etc., all explained In the room. Bath and shower ok, sink too small. Negative: Bathroom sink too small, goes water everywhere, arrangeable with a wipe on the ground. Really too many messages, both SMS and on booking to remind you of the departure date, checkin, and again access key and more..I understand the human non-management, but really too much, every 10 minutes you have a notification.

The unit met all of our basic needs with four twin beds, couch, kitchen with basic supplies, fridge, microvawe, stove, dishes and supplies, large bathroom with shower, and automatic shades for the early morning sun. But very limited lighting and black interior made it very dark and hard to see. Washer and dryers on each floor are free but took us several hours of running and eventually we dried clothes in our unit by hanging them. Cannot say enough nice things about the neighborhood. Mainly Pakistani, North African, East African and Arab. Amazing and cheap produce and food everywhere, Walking distance to Oslo Central train and bus stations. It can get a little grimy so exercise caution but felt pretty safe.

Highly recommend the apartment hotel, when your budget is limited, but not too limited. Though located in the area, which does not seem very safe (especially on Sunday night when shops are closed), it's in the centre close to metro station, shops and restaurants. Rooms are VERY compact, VERY small and beds are actually so small, that you practically can't turn sides while seeping. The kitchenette is good enough for easy cooking, there's oven that's supposed to be a mix of microwave and oven - but no instructions, how to use it. Remember to bring your own salt&pepper/sugar/frying oil, also trashbin bags etc. Starter kit includes some toilet paper and paper towel, also few dishwashing tablets. And be ready for early wake-up "call" when the staff starts loud rolling with their cleaning trolleys at 6AM.

The booking process is really very simple, the rooms not even so cheap, six days for a floppy € 1003,- , well, Oslo just that. I had built up a certain level of expectation for this, which was not only not partially met, but not at all. The location is so bad, here you really have to spend the whole day outside or in the city, even better, you fall drunk into bed, otherwise, my personal perception, this is unendurable. The hotel is located on a bridge of a four-lane road, which also offers views from the first to the sixth floor. For some urban and central, for others unreasonable conditions, noisy street, a view of bad graffiti and an audience, society can compete with the same from Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof. The stairwell does not smell very pleasant, maybe also due to the smeared, black and unkempt floor covering PVC Tarkett Retro nub, quite bad as I think. Even the first tip is already on the ground, exactly my humor 🤣. PVC nub is then followed by black carpeting on the corridors, which has been greatly neglected, quite scruffy to dirty, smells concerning a conglomerate of diversity. Entering the room, what a surprise, finally black PVC floor, half the wall away from the floor also painted black, no picture hangs here, but one of the scratchiest felt blankets lies on the beds, which are equipped with the softest mattresses I have experienced in hotels. So soft that you punch through on something hard underneath, madness. Then it’s an apartment with cooking area and extractor hood, whose exhaust air isn’t directed outside, no, there’s an alibi filter in it, which surprisingly looked reasonably cleaned, but anyone who has such a lousy extractor hood without a way out knows what that means in terms of smell. Aggravating here was probably some smoking, for which the hotel is definitely not responsible, but sometimes half an hour an ozone generator and you could maybe even sleep here. The bathroom, well cleaned, that's really fine, you have to admit, so washing and showering would be hygienic here, if this wet room were not so small that even I, 185cm / 70kg can only move slightly cramped here, sinks in every camper are bigger, if you wash your face here, the wet room lives up to its name. Not recommended, because the parlors of the Bundeswehr were brighter, cozier and smelled even better.

The location was the only highlight of this stay and truly deserves a solid 10/10. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell far short of expectations.
The bed was extremely narrow, with no bedside table, and the duvet kept falling onto the floor. It was positioned under the staircase, which caused dust and dirt to fall onto the bed—hardly what you want when trying to sleep. The staircase was also placed in a way that felt claustrophobic, almost as if it was hanging over your face. On top of that, the person sleeping on the inner side of the bed had to crawl over the other to get out, as there wasn’t enough space to walk where the staircase was lowest. And it wasn’t just getting out that was a problem—if you were on the inner side of the bed, you couldn’t even see the TV.
The check-in experience was downright poor. We never received an email with a link to submit ID information, which resulted in us standing outside in the snow for an hour waiting for the door code. It was freezing, and we nearly froze our toes off—an entirely unnecessary ordeal.
To top it off, there was no internet coverage in the basement, where the bathroom, toilet, and bedroom were located. This was especially frustrating and made the stay even less comfortable.
Overall, the location was fantastic, but the practical and comfort-related issues made this an experience we would rather forget.

The room is very small but very complete. Having kitchen with all utensils, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave is a plus. The bathroom has recently been renovated and is perfect. Good TV, great and with connectivity. The automatic access worked perfectly. The neighborhood at night does not give 100% security, very normal day.

Would highly recommend staying far away from all hotels from forenom. We had booked the hotel through Hotels.com and had opted to go for the "non-refundable" option as the room described would have sufficed. In the room description, it says the rooms were sound proofed. Yes i dont expect a soundproofed room to be completly silent. But i do not expect it to keep me up at night, because of the gatherings of drug addicts outside on the street(had room on 3rd floor). Had booked the room for 2 occations as i was to spend 2 weeks in oslo. Tried to reach out to customer service to attempt to get a refund(atleast for the second trip) as the room was clearly not as described. Unfortunately they had some of the worst customer attitude ive ever experienced as they do not care about customer satisfactionat all. They had gotten payed and therefore did not care about the actual problem. In the end i had to email them to put my claim and they will eventually send a property manager to check it out. And since its an unmanned hotel, that ment we had to call them. It ended up with me having to book new hotel for the remaining of my stay(spent 1 out of 5 night at Forenom ). And will have to book a new hotel for the next 6night trip aswell.

This apartment is fully furnished and huge for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 12. Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with each room having a double bed. The apartment is clean, new and has all the amenities such as tv, induction cooker, oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave oven and even a washing machine to do your dirty laundry. It is a good base to explore Oslo. The Oslo Central train station is only @5-7 mins walk. There’s an Asian supermarket located at the ground floor of the apartment. The surrounding areas have lots of halal restaurants and shops all within walking distances. We cooked most days for breakfast and dinner and this helps save money too. This apartment is highly recommended and I’ll stay here again if I visit Oslo.

Arrived early in the morning and negotiated an extra payment to check in early. Close to the shops and about 10min walk to central station - where we bought our hop on hop off tickets. The room was sufficient for our needs, has wifi, a small kitchenette with a bar fridge, stove and microwave, a few minutes walk to local groceries, pharmacy and restaurants. The hotel has a laundry facilities where you can use freely. Staff were friendly and willing to assist. My overall stay was excellent.

The accommodation is a good compromise for those looking for a fairly cheap place and close to transport. The studio is nice and pretty clean. There are no cleaning materials inside (there is no tea towel, broom or anything to clean). No spare trash bags. The bathroom is very small, with a tiny sink. The check-in system etc. is managed in a Smart way, through text messages coming from Booking. Convenient, but perhaps excessive in the number of messages that are sent. To enter you use a code, without a key. Overall for the quality price is not bad.

The kitchen to the best of my recollection was quite small and compact. Certainly nothing like an oven. I think you would be hard pressed to create a full meal. Not sure if the multi bedroom apartments offered more in the kitchen. Our apartment was just a basic one for two. The refrigerator was quite a decent size . We only stayed one night and did not use the kitchen.
There are more places to choose from in the Oslo area.
