Oslo Guldsmeden is a perfect hotel. I was in Oslo for work and it functioned really efficiently - great reception, internet, breakfast, quiet rooms etc. The breakfast is truly excellent. Even better, it was very good value and it's super stylish. It felt like a boutique hotel but was effortless rather than poncey. I'd love to visit again for a...

The hotel itself is exceedingly welcoming - and something different from any big chain hotels – laidback but professional at the same time! During my business trips, I have stayed at many different hotels in Oslo. If you are looking for something different and more cozy than the big chain hotels You have found the right place to stay! The...

The room was small with an awkward layout. Bathroom was also small. Towels were cloth and not terribly nice on the skin. The hotel felt a bit unnecessarily bohemian. Breakfast had limited choice. Not too bad in terms of location but overall I would say that this hotel was pretty average, particularly as it wasn't that cheap compared to more...

I've stayed here now 7 times, and obviously it must be great. I travel to Oslo for business and it's so nice to come back to this hotel every evening after going to the office. I start my day with a delicious, healthy breakfast with good coffee in a relaxing restaurant. When I return the lobby is warm and candle...

We chose the Oslo Guldsmeden as we were seeking something central and reasonable for a quick overnight stay. It was both of these - positioned in a quiet, residential street yet very close to everything. The hotel is a small, welcoming, boutique style. Coffee and tea with mini homemade muffins were offered upon arrival and were always available during our...

Thanks to great infrastructure, the Oslo Guldsmeden was only an easy 15 minute walk from the Nationaltheatret Statioin, which was a quick 30 minutes from the Airport via Flytoget. From the hotel, it was within 5 minutes to the Fjord, about 10 minutes to the Nobel Peace Center and the City Hall. It was also within 10-15 minutes walk to...

Hotel Guldsmeden is really well located, just a 5 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes into the centre of town. It's on a quiet residential street. Perfect for exploring the City. Service is exceptional. The small team are friendly, welcoming and really helpful. They looked up opening times, gave us public transport information and answered all of...

Great hotel with a very friendly and cozy atmosphere. There is a lounge area where you may hang out, work or have something to eat if you have a small appetite. The room was small and the bathroom too, but clean and tidy. The bed, pillows and comforter (dyne) were Nordic style and I sleept like an Angel! Do wish...

we loved to stay in the hotel. it has a great location, comfortable beds/duvets/pillows and the best is the breakfast! We absolutely loved the breakfast! the only negative point was the size of the bedrooms. But we were out so much exploring the city that in the end it was ok. The people in the hotel are all very nice...

Oslo was chilly and icy during my recent visit, so I was glad that I stayed at the warm and welcoming Guldsmeden. An excellent breakfast, stylish decorations, good lighting and friendly service were amongst the highlights of a one night stopover. The location is very good too, not far from the National Theater railway station. I'd be ready to give...
