Pro In a costly city like Oslo, this hotel provides a great value for money. The buffet breakfast is very good. Not much variety but enough to delay your lunch arbitrarily. The location was also good. It's a walking distance to the Nobel peace center or the port (ferry to fjord). Con The rooms were very cold. We had to... More

I'd say this is more a hostel than a hotel, but a great one. You have to make your own bed even in a private room. In the email confirmation they said a towel is included in the price, but at the reception they tried to charge me. I showed them the email message and they let me have the... More

Stayed during a weekend at Perminalen, its a good hostel located in the city centre, next to all the interesting places in Oslo. The place is clean and classic. During my stay I shared a 4 bed dorm with 2 elderly Norwegians which were the only people I saw in the whole hostel apart from some military guys. The dorms... More

Have stayed here a few times when I needed to catch an early flight from Oslo Airport. I´ve only stayed in the dorms, but they´ve been great. You´re basically paying nothing for a great location, in the heart of the city. So if you´re a backpacker or a businessman/woman on a layover, this a perfect spot. If you´re lucky you... More

Considering how expensive everything is in Oslo, this hotel was a find! The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, too. The reception clerks are also friendly and helpful. Perminalen Hotel is a good option for those who are visiting Oslo on a budget.

The hotel is a short walk from just about everything - the train station, the water front with it's trendy (and very expensive) restaurants and the city centre. Rooms are fairly basic, almost at the level of a backpacker's place. I was lucky and had a 4-bunk room all to myself. Only downside was the shower - the hot water... More

This hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the city center, the shopping walkway, and the harbor. While the rooms are a bit small and institutional (we saw lots of young Norwegian military service people while we were there), the breakfast is great--a budget buffet with lots to choose from. The staff was great too. They are... More

Great location just a short walk to central station, city hall water front area and other main sites. Room was nice, warm and big, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean, good shower and underfloor heating. Breakfast was great.

I booked an extremely last minute trip to Oslo last week and trawled the Internet to find accommodation in the city centre and the Perminalen was the only one with rooms available. The hotel itself is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of downtown Oslo which was great. The inside of the building is extremely dated, but clean... More

This hotel is originaly military, intended for soliders on low budget during the first service. The rooms is in same standard, simple and solid. Still used by military, so no fuzz here. Stayed with 4 teenagers attending Fiv second of summer concert. Central location, close to all.
