I have stayed here several times, and it's by far my favourite of all hotels i've visited. Great location, Classic style, Fantastic breakfast in "Palmerhaven" and the Spa is really great. The gym was also well equipped =)

No doubt the best breakfast I have ever seen. The spa is also excellent. 10 points in that for this hotel. Clean and in the main center of Trondheim, amazing areas, bar, etc. Staff very good, helpful and friendly Its getting a bit older inside, I guess it will be renovated soon.

This was a lovely place to stay for a long weekend. We had one of the cheapest rooms which had a very unprepossessing view over a car park so we kept the curtains drawn. The bathroom is a bit functional. Otherwise the room was nice. The communal spaces downstairs were the real draw: incredible breakfast in a lovely old-fashioned atrium;...

This property is a little tired. However around the hotel you can see pockets of modernisation. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. My room was lovely and well decorated. It was clean, bright and spacious. The breakfast was wonderful and would satisfy the fussiest of eaters. I would stay here again.

I love staying at Britannia during my business trip to Trondheim, a stone throw away from my office. The vintage rooms are huge, clean and well refurbished. The breakfast is just in a class of its own. There is simply everything you can imagine, well presented and prepared. It reminds me of a Christmas table, what a way to start...

The hotel was offered as one of those selected for a conference I was presenting at. My colleague booked it and in retrospect I shoukd have checked it out more carefully. We arrived late on Sunday night after agreat train journey from Oslo. No food was available in the hotel. The receptionist was pleasant and recommended a chain restaurant nearby...

There seems to have been no investment in upkeep for quite some time. Staff is pleasant and moderately helpful. No ventilation in the rooms at all. You have to hope there's no heat wave and that you don't get over heated. Of course you could cool off in the shower as from time to time, the water is not heated....

My room had no ventilation, so it was smelly and hot. The toilet smelled too, there is no iron and no water boiler in the room. the staff told me to go out and buy a coffee, I was like what?!? The iron room is a 5m room with no windows like a prison that you get cooked by heat...

We found out upon arrival that this hotel is about to close for refurbishment. We were glad to have visited the Palm Court, and we hope it will be retained. The bathrobes provided were too small and old, so we did not visit the spa.
