I booked a single room in Terminus because of its proximity to the bus station. When I checked-in I was told that was upgraded to a room in their Villa. It was a pleasant surprise. Rooms there are much more expensive and I did not even consider booking it. Apparantly, it is an old building, built in 1770, with a... More

We stayed at this hotel at the end of a short Norway tour. It is well situated next to the station. The rooms are small but well appointed and the hotel is very attractive. It has probably the best whiskey bar I have ever seen, however this and the restaurant were closed on Sunday. If the restaurant and bar had... More

A four night stay during a visit to Bergen before travelling to Oslo. Very comfortable, if rather compact, room. No drawer space provided, but otherwise fine. Comfy bed. Our room was at side not facing station, so reasonably quiet. Slept well probably because of intensive sightseeing!! The coffee tea and fruit available all day in whisky bar was a bonus.... More

I liked the location by the train station except the window of my room faced the ugly station. Plus, I could not keep the window open because of the noise on the road between the station and the hotel. Plus, the idling cars outside the station fouled the air - especially the buses. My room was also noisy because some... More

This is a beautiful historic hotel. Stayed here for two nights with Riviera Travel. We arrived later than expected on a Saturday but the set menu meal provided was perfectly adequate - great breakfast choice. Only downside the restaurant and the bar are closed on a Sunday so had to go into the city to get a meal & drink... More

Good location. Right next to the train station. About 15mns walking to the town center either alongside a large park or through older streets. Quiet rooms (except for the renovation work on the train station) Very nice entrance, bar area and dining room: old wood, old world style. Rooms are large, simple and comfortable. As some other reviewers have mentioned,... More

This is the 3rd hotel of our week tour of Norway the hotel chosen by our tour company. We are delighted with the location, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants and quay side. It has so many interesting features from furniture to art work and lamp shades, a really eclectic mix that is quirky, traditional and contemporary.... More

This hotel is quite nice and the location is great. Good proximity to floibanen, railway to Oslo and fish markets. Lots of quaint antique shops around the hotel too. Nice foyer and reception rooms. Bit crowded in the lifts but you expect that in the older style hotels.

This hotel is close to all transport and has a great lounge bar which offers free tea and coffee all day to guests. A warm fire and other drinks if you wish to purchase. It also had the best breakfast in all of our travels in Europe.

The hotel is really downtown and the general facilities are pretty nice! It is in an old building close to the ancien railstation. The problem are the rooms: mine could just host the bed, a small table and a chair and the bathroom is the smallest I saw in my business life! You could barely get in and move around... More
