Couple of minutes to fish market with roof terrace the overlooking the harbour & fish market. Helpful & friendly staff. Good value compared to other hostels I browsed. However, no individual lights or outlet for the gadgets. There's kettle, fridge & cooker. For dorm bed of 6, having wc in the room is a plus factor

Basic room with ensuite bathroom. Staff and location cannot be beat! I was very happy to be in all-female dorm. Beds were okay nothing great. I would stay here again, was much better than another hostel I stayed at in Bergen! Very close to fish market stop for flybus!

We came here back in Feb 2015 and my first impression was that I was in a spy movie as we had to put in a code on the door to get in (reception was closed) and put in a code in a safe to get our room keys, very exciting! We found our room okay and the beds were...

I stayed in the 36 bed dorm. This was a horrible idea. The bunk beds were the most uncomfortable in my life with the slats digging in my back each night making it near impossible to get any restful sleep. I ended up folding the blankets and all my extra clothes underneath me in order for some comfort. It was...

The location is great - 8 minutes to the railway station/bus station, right next to the bergen fish market, tourist info, 4 minutes to the Bryggen buildings, 7 minutes to Floibanen and good places to eat out nearby. We stayed in a 4 bed mixed dormitory. It had a kettle, utensils, sink, 2 bunkbeds, attached washroom which was very clean....

Do not book the budget 32 bed dorm. The beds are small, thin, uncomfortable and it has a feeling like being in jail or hospital. The 6 bed room was much better once I upgraded. The bathroom facilities were fine and spacious. The breakfast offer was good, though as with everything in Norway, expensive. The kitchen was good (just a...

such a big surprise when I arrived there. The staff is ok, the place is no really nice. Old installations, the room wasn't a room, was a comun room with lights and big speakers in the roof, and then the around 30 beds. No Windows,no locker in the room. the toilets are like pub toilets... absolutely disagree about the price in relation...

Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hostel, the kitchen facilities were excellent, the dorm was clean and reasonably comfortable and it's superbly located right next to the harbour. My only real gripe is that it felt very impersonal and run in a business-like manner. Fair enough it's a YMCA hostel which has to meet a certain code, but for...

Stayed in the 32-bed dorm for two nights. The hostel's location is absolutely perfect because it's in the middle of Bergen and you can walk to anything from there. Check out their roof terrace! Staff was friendly and helpful. I loved the breakfast that you can get for an extra 50 NOK: bread, cheese, sausage, cereal, veggies, tea, juice, coffee,...

This was a classic hostel, just as you would expect it. Nothing special about it, but very decent. And it has an incredible location (which is what you're paying for). We stayed in a 32-bed dorm (don't think I've ever paid that much for a dorm bed!). But it was clean and bunk beds were comfortable. There was definitely a...
