This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit tight, and if you are above average size then this is definitely not the hotel for you. I found it to be super comfortable with an amazingly nice shower crammed into a very small space. But if...

In the nice and quiet Norwegian city of Ålesund, by the sea, this small “boutique” hotel is a great place to stay for a few days. Decorated with good taste, it gives you a good sense of comfort. We stayed in two different rooms (I stayed there in two occasions in the same week) and both were small, but cozy....

The hotel is beautifully situated on the water providing an upscale option for dinner and a separate bar. The real star is the staff...and in particular Merethe Aarseth, receptionist, who not only found our two passports (imagine being on a ship to the next destination and leaving for Iceland in a couple days...without passports!!)...but she personally HAND-delivered them (and over...

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to everything- including the free car parking (several options available). The rooms are small but clean, boutique/Clerkenwell warehouse feel with neutral colours and exposed beams. The breakfast was lovely too, bravo! I can't wait to visit again!!

Stayed for one night during July 2015. Had a lovely sea view during the tall ships visit. Very quiet, yet very central to all the shopping and attractions. Lovely room combination of modern and old world. Breakfast was average, but suitable for our driving trip northward.

I had booked this hotel 4+ months in advance, to come midway in a 2 week camping trip. It would be time for a bit of luxury after a first week under canvas. The website content and pictures bowled me over and the tripadvisor reviews were pretty good too. On arrival, we did have that "ooh wow" effect the website...

Just the most beautiful hotel room I've stayed in. Love the frosted glass cube with the bathroom in, love the beams, love the view over the river. Went on a study trip as a competition finalist and had a great time, Norway is amazing and I noticed everything is spectacularly clean! Even the streets!

Interesting historical property that has been renovated as a modern and chic hotel. Our room succeeded in cramming as many modern amenities as you can fit in a small space, but it was a small space nonetheless. If you are traveling with lots of stuff, you may be hard pressed to find where to put it. Otherwise, it was perfectly...

The hotel had arranged for the shuttle bus to pick us up from Alesund airport but when the bus failed to arrive immediately suggested that they would pay for a taxi (£40) for us.
