I stayed for two nights. Nice quiet room. Good bedding and pillows. Sadly no WiFi. Great bathroom with bath and bidet. And, very good breakfast. Friendly polite owner, too. Highly recommended for price range.

One of the worst two nights in a hotel. Although bed linen was clean the beds were very uncomfortable. The navy blue kiosk of a bathroom was disgusting. Furniture looked as if it was salvaged from WWII bombsite. The breakfast was good, and the manager was very attentive, I will not be back.

The room was fairly basic, however we were looking for a budget room that was dog friendly and this ticked all the boxes. The staff/managers were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was very good and ticked all the boxes and catered for all.

Me and my partner had a weekend stay with our young baby. The staff was lovely especially the owner. Breakfast was lovely just wish they had tinned tomato but that's a preference ! The room ...... We had the lower floor room. It was clean but When opening the bedroom door you are hit with a smell of old ,...

We booked 'room only' and were given the keys to our room (room 11, top floor) with a front door key attached. From start to finish of our 2 night stay we saw no staff at all. The front door was always locked. It seemed, I imagine, just like a boarding house. Our room (11) was on the 4th floor...

We had a very pleasant stay at the Ellesmere despite it being quite dated. The owner was very helpful. The room was very clean and had plenty tea and coffee. We would definitely book here again and recommend it to anyone who is not looking for a modern up to date hotel, but a comfortable good value stay.

Owner was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel very quiet at night. The rooms do get very hot at night and found it difficult to sleep. A fan would have been good in the room. Nice lounge to relax in downstairs. Rooms very outdated and bathrooms require major updating. Breakfast not cooked to order which was disappointing...

Thank you very much for a great stay at The Ellesmere. We were only at the hotel for one night for business however we were very impressed with the hotel and particularly the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. High recommended! We all will be definitely back again. Thanks again.

The Ellesmere Hotel is situated at the western end of Eastbourne town, a good ten minutes' walk into the centre but right in the heart of the theatre district, Tennis Courts and Eastbourne College. Brilliant, if that is where you really want to be. The front rooms look out on to Wilmington Square, a large grassed area with a shrubbery...

Staff are friendly & helpful. We wanted to walk to seven sisters national park when we arrived & the receptionist offered us a local map & bus timetable & explained the best route there. Room was large, spacious & comfortable. Hotel is a stones throw away from the beach & very cheap.
