Average hotel, rooms very similiar to a premier Inn. We're in room 220 which has a nice sea view, comfortable bed and decent sized bathroom. Only negatives is that as a young couple (late 20s) we found it to be aimed more towards the older clientele, and that was mirrored in the menu offered. Also unless we'd read other reviews... More

Hotel was on seafront, near to shops, pubs, etc. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Car park around back of hotel ( you need to go in to get code before you can get into car park) - no one on reception when I went in had to wait a couple of minutes. - would be helpful if a note... More

Mainly used by package tourists the hotel is adequate for those requiring minimum services. The in- house rules regarding ordering dinner menus at breakfast time, the unavailability of coffee to be served at breakfast and the small selection of draught beers in the bar are typical. The lift was unreliable and guests on the third floor found the electricity supply... More

One of the first things I look at anywhere, is how happy are the staff? This is a direct reflection of how management look after their hotel. Here at the Kensington the staff seem really happy and are really helpful. Breakfast is freshly cooked and really good. We had a first floor bay window room with a great view of... More

Stayed here for four nights on a coach tour recently. Was a bit apprehensive at first as our coach arrived at 6.30 pm which was mealtime so we were taken directly from the coach to the dining room! However our order was taken and promptly served and to be honest it turned out to be very nice indeed. Breakfast was... More

This hotel has an excellent location on the promenade and yet close to all the shops etc. The staff were very friendly, helpful and all appeared to be enjoying their work. The food in the dining room is not anything fancy but all enjoyable and well presented. There is a lift to all the floors and the rooms to the... More
