Travellers' Choice
This artfully designed boutique Hotel and Restaurant in Suffolk reflects luxury and dazzles in the waterfront of Ipswich's vibrant Harbour quayside at night. The Salthouse Harbour Hotel goes beyond what you expect and exudes its 4 star status in every curious corner, eccentric sofa and unstuffy cushion. The sea-salted brickwork exterior has been restored & rejuvenated into a ship shape contemporary warehouse of rich modern interiors and rooms adorned with vintage furniture, sculptures and eclectic art. Within its comfy chic decor, although the mood is friendly and relaxed, the staff are professionally attentive to your every need. The cuisine is exciting and the popularity of the Salthouse Eaterie fills this delightful waterfront restaurant as soon as the tables are laid.

Really lovely hotel in the best part of Ipswich. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Beautifully decorated with nice individual touches. Lovely room with a Paul Smith lamp, beautiful wooden furniture and a great, powerful shower. Nice view of the marina from the balcony. Breakfast was very good, with an excellent choice.

We stayed for 6 nights in this lovely hotel and really enjoyed our stay, We had a harbour view room which we thought was worth paying the extra for. We had 3 dinners and 2 lunches all of which were excellent. We really liked the hotel decor with its art and quirky design objects. All the staff were always unfailingly polite friendly and helpful.. A really nice hotel with a great atmosphere.

Salthouse Harbour hotel is amazing. Very quirky and beautiful. The staff are excellent, very friendly, and the service in the restaurant and hotel is brilliant. We had a delicious 3 course meal with wine and cocktails and we couldn’t fault the food, staff or surroundings. The room we stayed in overlooked the marina and had a balcony which was wonderful. Everything about our stay was good and we definitely want to return.

Lovely hotel with helpful staff who cant do enough for you. So glad we went for a marina view room - waking up to the sun on the harbour was a real treat - plus a soak in the bath was real luxury. Would recommend for a special occasion

Lovely hotel by the Marina. Great bedroom over looking the water. All staff very professional and friendly. Only 5 min walk into the main shopping area, and 10 mins from the Regent Theatre. Limited parking by the hotel is the only drawback.
