Convenient for the station and Stevenage centre. In places, the hotel needs refurbishment - see photos. Room sound proofing is poor. One night an adjacent room was being intimate and playing music until 2am and another morning a TV alarm was playing for 30 minutes from 5am. The bathroom had no electric razor socket. A decent breakfast.
The absolute best thing about this hotel is the staff all helpful & friendly. However Liz ( Breakfast chef gave the best customer service I’ve seen. Friendly, professional and a way of making everyone feel special. Many thanks Liz you made my day each morning x
The hotel was easy to check in. Staff very pleasant. Clean bathroom lovely clean sheets and Aircon. Shampoo and showergel provided. Lovely clean white towels. Flat screen TV a great comfortable room and stay. Staff very pleasant and helpful everything you would need for a business trip.
It’s a really lovely hotel prices are really good and staff are really friendly and the best thing right in town few minutes walk from the shops Restaurants around the corner everything is just so close and rooms really clean
The stay was everything you would want for a quick stop over. Good clean room, hot shower, delicious breakfast and fantastic service from the staff. Parking nearby and not overly pricey. Will stay again
The staff are lovely, felt very welcomed. Room was spotless, really good shower. Endless breakfast was well worth it Check in and check out were really fast. Slept very well, bed was comfy. Will definitely use again
I had a great stay here, the staff were friendly, the cooked breakfast was lovely and the room was very nice. Air con in the room is brilliant and was a life saver in that heat! Great value for money!
Tesco right at your doorstep and train station only a 3min walk away. friendly and helpful staff. Quirky and funny breakfast lady brightens your morning and so does the food. Beds were very comfy and the rooms were clean.
This was booked for a work trip, and on arrival we were greeted by a strong smell of cigarettes in reception. The rooms themselves are decorated very differently to those pictured on booking.com. Thankfully the bad smell in the corridors didn't extend to the rooms, although the towels in my room were covered in black mould and when I returned them to reception the women working there just looked blankly at me. My room had no hot water for the duration of my 2 day stay, the carpets had sticky patches, one of my colleague's rooms had plaster falling off the walls and a delightful infestation of bedbugs! The worst part about my stay was the fact that a member of staff clearly entered the room when I wasn't there and stole an expensive dress from me which she later listed on Ebay, I know because i purchased it back after my stay for the princely sum of £20, thankfully she didnt google the brand because that was plenty of tax on an already extortionate stay in the IBIS halfway house.…
I've stayed in some places in my life but this was something else. Mouldy towels, no window sill and sick stained carpets. We booked 4 rooms and not one of them was fit for anyone to sleep in. The postcode in the sat nav has you driving around the one way system a few times and the car parking is non existent. Book at your own risk!!!!
