I booked this room for our contractor working away from home. Not sure where the photographs on their website have been taken from, very different, like polar opposite different!! After refusing to stay the night due to the disgusting state the room was in, he chose not to stay in an alternative offered then was verbally abused, being shouted at by the host! Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service offered a substandard level of accommodation and booked through booking.com and have kept the money after cancellation of booking Avoid as nothing like the pictures or description. Enjoy my £110!!! If I wanted to stay in a hostel not a hotel I would have booked one!!!

Stayed here for a number of nights for work over the last few weeks. Some of the recent reviews are a bit harsh although I did get put in the main hotel rather than the separate building. Hotel was very clean and tidy, rooms are dated but clean with good facilities. Menu is pretty limited but food was okay and good for the price, portions were massive. There are loads of options to eat out on the High st. a 10 minute walk away. Again the bar was small with limited options but priced okay. Included breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Plenty of free parking on site. Staff were all very friendly, it's fine here for the cost.

Despite being booked into a Hotel I was actually in a residential house some distance from the hotel, The house is a lodging house for builders, I had a shared bathroom and toilet, the bedroom was shabby and the furniture in it was very old, the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The proprietor was rude and snappy. Literally the WORST place I have ever stayed in, if I could give zero rating I would.

The annex is shared with permanent guests who have no consideration for others, there's a lot of late night slamming of doors and loud talking even after 10.30pm and I was woken up by it between 6am and 6.30am So if the owner does not do anything about this then They will lose guests, It is overlooked and needs a lot of attention. Upon check out I had to wait 10min before anyone came and then it was the same person that served my breakfast. When I went to breakfast there were only three people there including myself yet the coffee pot was empty and even through I asked for the coffee to be refilled, well needless to say I am still waiting. I will nearer recomend this place nor will I return

A very nice hotel, own bar and in easy walk (9 mins) of high street and some great pubs and restaurants. Easy to find and on site parking to the rear. Did find sound carries between rooms, tv etc. Owners friendly and helpful. Have a look if staying overnight in Stevenage.

stayed twice, once in a double room, once in the larger room with queen and single bed. the hotel appears to cater mostly to working travelers (drivers, construction workers, sales personnel, etc.), so fills up later in the day and empties early the next day. The double room was small & a little cramped for two, and the bed was a little narrow and hard, but overall adequate. Next time we took the larger room and were totally satisfied.Location close to the old town was great. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall good value for money.
