Two night stay for family purposes. Perfectly adequate accomodation. Friendly and efficient reception staff. Bar facilities and said to be restaurant (didn't use). Good sized room with all necessary facilities..Good breakfast...Hit food - bacon, sausage, egg and beans available... continental style also. A modern style building right in the town centre. Limited parking but there is a multi storey within 5 mins. Access to railway 10 MNS. A1(M) a short drive away.
Stayed in this Holiday Inn Express on the way to London. Due to an incident on the M1 we did not arrive until after 05:00 Saturday. Check in was fast and efficient and we were given a late check out without asking so we could sleep that bit longer which was much appreciated. All of the staff, front desk, at breakfast and housekeeping were friendly and cheerful. Will defiantly stay again if this hotel is on route.
Brilliant hotel in a brilliant location. Train station is a 5 minute walk as is the bus interchange so it's a good base for visiting surrounding areas. There are plenty of amenities around the hotel for shopping and food. Rooms are a decent size even when sofa bed is out. We were 2 adults and a 15 year old and coped without any arguments! Rooms are fully airconditioned which was a must with temps of 28-30 when we stayed. We left the air con on 24/7. Showers was decent. Rooms were clean to a good standard and extra towels etc available whenever we needed them. Staff were friendly and helpful for our whole 6 day stay. Hotel is good value for money with a buffet style breakfast included in the price. If you were running late there were takeaway boxes available for breakfast on the go.…
Awful. Pay for extra parking even though they have a car park. Room dirty, noisy, and damaged. Nowhere you can look without seeing damage. No information given when checking in. Ignore room service, as if you attempt to order will be told "no, that must have been pre covid". The rudest night receptionist ever, who when I complained told me I was free to leave, yes convenient @ 11pm. They do not give a damn about their guests. Old tired and neglected . Feck knows how disappointing breakfast will be. And I don't even expect that much.
We were booked into this hotel as part of a package for the British grand prix at Silverstone with national holidays, this was a 1 hour 45 trip from the gp venue, why so far I don't know but not the hotels fault, on arriving booking in was reasonably easy, arriving at the bedroom my brother in law and myself,we are both in our 70s, were shocked to see the twin room we booked was 0ne bed and one pull out put me up bed, with the thinnest matress possible, nowhere in any of the web site pictures does it show a bedroom like this, returning to reception we were told no other rooms were avaliable,we found this totally unacceptable and surprised as i have stayed in several holiday inn express hotels, must recently in York last month without a problem. The staff on reception/bar were very good, but the bed situation was a real problem,…
Stayed here over the weekend to see my family with the wife. Everywhere was full or price surged because of Pride and the F1 at Silverstone so this ended up being the most affordable. Stayed with Holiday Inn and it's counterparts in the IHG a few times but what you get here is basically an early 00s Travelodge with an included breakfast offering. Staff are friendly and the food is decent, but little things like visible and in date PAT, tired decor and worn or broken fittings changes a good stay to an average one. There are better and worse ones in the chain.
This was a really good room The staff were really helpful The breakfast was excellent However the evening meal choices were extremely limited. There was one meat course one pasta course and one vegetarian option The quality was ok . Accordingly I have to downgrade this review from a 4* to a 3* Shame really because its a good hotel
Booked this hotel for a gig we attended. Clean hotel, great location, staff were amazing So friendly and chatty. Happy to help staff. Shower lovely and hot. Was going to skip breakfast as in other hotels it not up to much.. but the breakfast here was lovely and hot, plenty of choice. Thank you for a great stay!
Stayed here on night instead of staying in London. Reasonable pricing considering it was half term. Lovely comfy bed, warm shower and yummy breakfast. Wonderful staff. Thank you for a pleasant stay :)
A coach of us stopped here for the weekend for the challenge cup final at Tottenham Hotspur. The location is ideal, a little town around the corner and 15 mins away is the old town with a lot of nice pubs and restaurants. The lady on reception told us about this when we arrived. The room was lovely, everything I needed, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was decent both days and a nice relaxed atmosphere. All the staff from the housekeeping staff to the front of house staff have all been very friendly especially Ellie. We’ve all had a really good weekend and would definitely stop here again.
