Just got home after spending 2 days at this hotel. It was easy to find and easy and helpful at check in. We were helped up to our room which was spacious and clean. Big bathroom and very comfortable bed. We are definitely going to spend a few days back there in the future. The only downside was that there was no breakfast but if asked you could have a continental one. The staff were pleasant and helpful

Quite disorganised. There were a few of us but couldn’t order when one couple were delayed. Food was nothing special. Loyalty points for Vintage Inn not understood by the staff. I knew more about it than they did. In all not a great experience.

We moved nearby and this place is a gem. Great for families as it has the animals (I love the owls and goats) but also good just to chill. The food is amazing, very good standard. The calamari is lovely and soft, burgers are very tasty and deserts to die for. Very friendly and helpful staff. It’s also dog friendly.

Great sunday lunch but they do only serve food until 4pm so arrive early.  Nice atmosphere, good service and lovely roast dinner. You can casual dine in the bar area or more formal.service in the restaurant

We visited here earlier today, OMG the food was outstanding. We had a pies, burgers, sandwiches, flatbread and they were all amazing. The staff were very friendly and super efficient. We ate outside in the secret zoo, it was really pleasant, the sun was shining and the beer was cold. Highly recommend, best pub food we’ve had in a long time! Shame we don’t live closer!

Tried the chequers as it's always looked a attractive pub/restaurant on passing through bragbury end. The setting inside the restaurant is comfortable and cosy, we were attended to straight away for seating and drinks and the waitress was very polite and courteous while taking our orders. Now when the 3 meals were brought out my turkey roast looked nice except roast veg I.e roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots were so undercooked and hard they were virtually inedible (roast potatoes were as pale as boiled potatoes). My daughter chose a children's hamburger meal and and it looked shocking and unappealing .(would get better at a greasy spoon) My partner ordered the chickpea aubergine spicy burger which she described as bland and the bun was incredibly dry so was also disappointed. So wasn't a good visit. (weren't even busy so can't use that as an excuse) This has all the makings of a great establishment except at least on our visit all 3 meals let you down drastically and we left hungry and £35.85 out of pocket.

Had to be asked to be served after sitting in the restaurant for ages. When asked if someone could serve us there was no apology or recollection that we had been waiting. They had a christening function on and clearly forgot about the normal customers. Not the best service....not what I would expect from this chain.

Called in here on a Saturday which turned out to be a pie day. Everyone in our group had a pie and they were all excellent. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Our son loved the garden area. Would definitely return.

We ate outside as it was a nice day, and that was pleasant enough, the kids enjoyed looking at the animals and we came for a quick bite to eat in the sunshine as a family. Food was fine, tasty, hot, worth what we paid and no issues there. When we walked inside the pub we instantly noticed there was a really horrible odour in the air, stale smelling, tobacco-like almost. I would not have fancied dining indoors. Ideal for families with younger kids on a sunny day an alternative to a beer garden with a climbing frame.
