Booked for a 2 night break in September. Great communication with Marylyn the owner before we went advising about parking and places to eat nearby. The guest house is beautifully decorated in period style, all really immaculate and clean. There are rooms on two floors up a narrow and steep staircase. This is not a place to stay for very... We enjoyed a stay at The Townhouse this weekend. We were greeted by Marylyn who was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. Spotlessly clean and really well appointed. The fixtures and fittings are of a really good quality. Breakfast I was greeted by Marylyn who provided freshly brewed coffee. Breakfast is cooked to order and was beautifully cooked... More

We have just returned from our 2 night stay with Marylyn at her exceptional guest house. I can't praise it enough. Accommodation; superb. Breakfast; exceptional. Host (Marylyn) 2nd to none, nothing too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We recently spent a night at the Old Town House and were extremely impressed. The whole place has been very tastefully decorated and furnished, with period-style fixtures and fittings, and, although it has been open for a few years, it looks like it was decorated yesterday! It has all the amenities you would expect from a hotel, including free wi-fi,... More

This was my second stay at The Old Townhouse. I returned because you receive a warm welcome from the owner and my room is comfortable, clean and has en suite shower and toilet. There is also a tv and tea / coffee facilities. The breakfast is excellent and cooked to order, with your specific choices. I came for a bird... More

This was an excellent B&B! I was late in arriving because of the timing of the arrival of my ferry from Cherbourg. However, that did not phase Marylyn and her welcome was very friendly, professional and efficient. The room had excellent facilities - I was only sorry I did not stay long enough to take advantage of them! The bed... More

We stayed two nights, wish we had stayed more. Lovely rooms and very close to everything. Lovely breakfast. Marylyn makes you feel at home and can't do enough for you. We went to a wedding in Poole and I left my fascinator in the room, Marylyn posted t back to me the very next day.

I stayed at the Old Townhouse for two nights while down in Poole for an interview, and I absolutely loved it. It's in the quaint 'old town', and is very conveniently located with resturants, the quay and some nice little bars only a short distance away. (But not too close - it's a lovely, quiet part of town so I... More

A very good place to stay, brilliantly situated very close to the quay. Marylyn is charm itself, and very helpful. We told her we were going to Brownsea Island in the hope of seeing red squirrels and she gave us some hazelnuts to feed them. It worked!
