This has been a regular lunch spot for many years, called in today and was greeted by a welcoming and friendly female bar tender (very attractive too), service was quick and efficient, the male server couldn't do enough to help and the food as always was cooked to order, fresh and the portion sizes were huge with great presentation. If...

Visited here today, we chose the roast chicken, three roast option and sea bass from the specials board. Perfectly cooked vegetables, crispy Yorkshire pud and individual jugs of gravy. Crisp white table linen and plenty of room around the table. All staff friendly and efficient. Good value too just £12:95 for one course. If you are looking for a good...

Eight of us visited the mews for an overnight stay and an evening meal. We had a brilliant time - the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was lovely with very generous portions, the rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. The prices were very reasonable and we would not hesitate to visit again. If I had to...

Stayed for two nights in a fresh well equipped room in the annex area next to the pub. Having been overseas for some years it was nice to have a proper pub to eat and drink in whilst visiting nearby relatives. Room to room noise insulation was poor and the bed could have been a little larger, but all in...

Room situated directly above a noisy pub. Music and laughter until late, small uncomfortable bed, tatty dated funishings and a dim energy saver light that makes any work impossible. Totally unsuitable for work or business travel. Any complaints of shortcomings or items in room not working don't warrant breaking off from sending a text and are met with the response...

I've always liked this place, despite the fact that it is difficult to decide exactly what kind of establishment it is. On the one hand, it looks like a Pub with attached Hotel accommodation. On the other hand, it could be a Hotel/Restaurant with a bar for the Hotel guests, and they just happen to serve walk-in customers as well....

We went Sunday night and had a great meal from the comfort food menu. The starters were fresh and the mains even better. The place was clean and all the staff friendly. The wine list is exceptional and a good selection of beers. We are going to return one Wednesday for fish night.
