This hotel is in a great location for the M1 & Yorkshire. The room was spacious & quiet, despite being located close to the road. The beds were comfy & large ensuite. Staff were friendly & helpful. What disappointed me was the overall decor & cleanliness. Thecurtains didn't shut together properly. The toilet was dirty, & the room just needed...

For us an ideal location at a good price. Brilliant hot breakfasts (the only place we've stayed where it is!),, clean spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Hospitality tray included, very comfortable bed and an excellent bar.

I stopped at Midgley Lodge Hotel for a week to do some Dog Behaviour assessments and it was perfect for my requirements. Clean rooms, really quiet and good views and a very responsible price . Will recommend and hopefully be back.

Staff very friendly and helpful' room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable. Excellent wifi and TV. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good for the price, be prepared to wait a bit if very busy as it's cooked fresh but that's not an issue unless you are in a hurry would have like some pastries to choose from....

However I was not impressed with the manager I believe his name began with D, he was very rude and didn't come across as a nice person and didn't respect his staff like a proper...

We returned to Midgeley and as ever received a warm friendly welcome. The room we were in was clean and pleasant. Breakfast is the bonus..so much choice and freshly cooked. We will be back in the autumn.

The building work at our home just got too much last Saturday so we decided to take the (very) short drive up the road to the Lodge and take a room for the night for a bit of peace and quiet. The rooms are arranged in very neat little blocks and it almost feels like you are renting a small...

Anyone truly expecting four star luxury for £54 per night is kidding themselves! This hotel is cheap and cheerful and delivers excellent value for money. The decor in the room (block 3, room 11) and bathroom was dated although the bedding and curtains had obviously been updated and a modern painting added to try and give a more contemporary feel....
