We stayed here for one night on Easter Friday on our way down to Devon. Kim was so welcoming and our room was delightful - a big four poster bed and a single for our son. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - and much better than the breakfasts at the hotel we went on to stay at! Kim was really helpful...

We enjoyed our stay here. Really good location for us, tucked away down a country road but near to the town. Lovely welcome from the owner and the room was massive! The house has a lot of atmosphere and character and we liked that. Don't expect really modern fittings as the place's charm comes from it's age. Bed was really...

I stay at Staplegrove on a regular basis and have done so for some years. I find the location extremely handy especially if you want to be the Barnstaple/Minehead side of Taunton thus avoiding the busy traffic through the centre. To be honest I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area, hosts are really nice people and always been made...

Another lovely weekend stay at Staplegrove Lodge! We have been coming to Staplegrove for over 6 years now and it has always been perfect. We normally stay in Room 5 which is large and beautifully appointed with a huge and super-comfortable four-poster bed and a spacious bathroom with large shower cubicle. It can also be used as family room with...

Just back from a great tour of the West Country. Where a group of us met and stayed overnight at the excellent Staplegrove Lodge for the aged Scottish spiky rocker's concert. Lovely setting, very friendly and terrific breakfast. Thank you so much.

We stayed here as a family of four. Room 5 has a double bed and 2 singles with a large en suite, so this was ideal for us. Breakfast is generous and delicious. Another couple had been coming for 10 years. Recommended.

“The rooms are all beautiful. The largest room with the four poster bed and en suite bathroom with a power shower is the most expensive, but is worth every penny.”
