My wife and I were visiting from New Zealand and spent a wonderful 4 nights with Alison, Clive and Chantal at Caxton House. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean, bright and had a very comfortable king size bed. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast and jams, plus a choice of cooked breakfast. It was also great that their accommodation was slightly away from the busy retail centre, but still within a walking distance. This way we got a semi-secluded beach a short walk out the back plus a nice quiet place to stay and relax.Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will certainly stay with you again.

I stayed for a couple of nights with my daughter. For the first time at a hotel the owners knew our names upon arrival...good effort The room was as expected for the reasonable price and the walk to the pier only 10 minutes The owners recommended several local attractions and even offered discounts for some of them The breakfast was superb, great selections of fruit and cereals and a brilliant full english At night when we returned there was a good selection of beers and the orange juice was even free. Loads of games to play Can't say enough nice things about the hotel and owners....thanks

Thanks for the kind review Susan. Its always a pleasure to have guests as nice as you staying! We hope you'll come again! It would really help us if you left a good review on booking.com - helps to counteract that horrible one which was left out of spite for some reason! Regards to you and your Mum, Alison

Situated far enough from the madding crowds in a quiet and peaceful location where you can still get to the beach down a little track in about 5 mins and a quality breakfast that left us totally satisfied served by a charming young lady who couldn’t have been more helpful , we highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely be back, even the little dog brought us his ball as we sat at the breakfast table now you can’t get more homely than that. There’s a full range off teas and beverages in the room with biscuits and chocolate bars and in the shower room there are liquid soaps, shampoo and conditioner so it’s very well thought out, even let me park my Harley in their garage.
