We stayed here for a week and had a great time in Skegness. All communication is done through emails so please take the time to check your emails and read them properly then you will know how to access the hotel. We had no problems checking in. Yes there is only 3 parking spaces but all the hotels in that area are the same it’s directly in the town so there’s not going to be plenty of spaces but you can find free parking on nearby roads. The hotel is an old building when they didn’t build with sound proofing so you are going to be able to hear people in the corridors and sometimes in their rooms but this is to be expected in old buildings with character. Whilst we were there a new manager moved in and took over. On the day they arrived they straight away started on what they would be doing to improve the hotel. They are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. This is going to be an up and coming hotel with plenty of updating to be done in the next few months. I’ve given a 4 star because there were a couple of issues but I don’t think they need to be mentioned as we spoke to new manager they listened to everything we told them and I honestly think they will all be addressed asap. We look forward to coming back to this hotel next year to see the updates. Jenny

I imagined writing a poor review after the hassle of the on line checking in process. However once we arrived we got what we wanted in terms of our own priorities. Our room (room 8) was spacious and had ample storage space. It had a bay window with 2 chairs and a table and access to a little balcony. This was what we wanted. It has been difficult to book sea view rooms this summer. Although the sea is a distant view but that would be the same with any accommodation in Skegness. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the bath sheets. Tea and coffee etc were plentiful and could be replaced from a store downstairs. We were welcomed by a very helpful lady who advised where we could park and helped us with the key pick up. The hotel is central for amenities but as other reviewers have mentioned no longer serves breakfast. I can recommend The Jolly Fisherman for breakfast which is a couple of minutes walk away. I can understand the frustrations with the booking and registration process but in terms of a pleasant stay we were very pleased.
