Stayed 21st Sept for 2 nights in Room 114.. Pros - Easy check in and lovely clean room with modern furnishings flat screen TV and comfortable bed. Bathroom very nice but could do with some additional hooks for residents own towels/dressing gowns. Excellent location on South Parade opposite crazy golf. Although no hotel parking there is the Arcadia pay and display on Drummond Road behind the hotel which cost us £9 for 24hr parking for 7 days which is a great saving. Cons - No lift so if you have mobility issues try and book direct so that you can request a ground or 1st floor as the stairs are steep to the top floor. Room quite dark as located at the back of the hotel and no view but good lighting so didn't bother us too much. Hotel No 8 owns Wolfies bar and restaurant next door and would be an idea on their part to include breakfast in the price for their guests or a discount on meals eaten in their restaurant/bar. The toilet in the bathroom is extremely close to the sink so was awkward at times but guess these have to go where the plumbing allows. Overview-before we went I read alot of negative reviews regarding hot stuffy rooms, noisy fans on the roof of the pub behind the hotel and banging doors and paper thin walls. These reviews put me off a little but I needn't of worried... My experience was that the fans were a low hum that I could barely hear but this could've been as we were on the top floor, the rooms could be warm but a decent tower fan is provided in the room and yes you can hear the doors bang when others leave/enter their room but that's because the locks are card operated and the doors soft close but bang when it shuts and locks. If guests hold it while it closes gently it doesn't bang when it locks. I have enjoyed my stay, would visit again but book directly with the hotel to get a room on a lower level.

Great location right on the front and really near the aquarium which we were visiting for the scuba diving. Lovely clean room which had recently been decorated. Girl on reception was really helpful with recommendations of where to go. Shame no breakfast included and could hear people moving around the hotel/talking in the room next door but it didn’t affect us too much.

· We had room 101 and it is huge. Absolutely immaculately clean. Fresh towels daily if required. Fresh biscuits and coffee/tea/hot chocolate replenished daily. Bed was made daily and it was very comfortable. The shower was powerful, hot and very refreshing, and the TV was like being at the cinema. Location is excellent and right in the centre of everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful, would return if it wasn't so noisy. Disliked · Unfortunately the hotel is very noisy due to the wooden floors, the last day and night there was no rest at all from check in at 3 until 5am when people were sneaking out with their children. There seems to be a problem with the sewerage aswell as there is quite a bad constant smell in the bathroom. We had room 101 which is downstairs in the hotel, consequently the room is quite dark. We couldn't keep the window open due to the smell of weed, there seems to be a regular gathering outside the hotel.

Firstly we booked through booking.com which 1) stated we booked a superior king room was given a very standard room 2) to pay at the hotel on arrival which suited us 5 days before arrival hotel No8 tried to take the money out of my bank I called the hotel to question this & all I got was oh right, " well are you paying now then?" I said I had to transfer the money so I would call them back in a little while, 15 mins later called them back to pay in full to be told "could you call back later I'm busy at the moment!" Wow I said right ok, call the next day spoke to a lovely polite girl think her name was Yazmin & was all sorted. We system at hotel No8 for 3 night on arrival/check-in was good then said your room number is 104 just behind you my heart sank alittle but when we got into the room & looked out the window my heart sank even more. First thing we noticed was the noise from the air con which backed on to hotel No8 from another restaurant to say we was disappointed was a understatement we nicknamed the room " Pigeon loft" as that what it felt like, we couldn't have the window's open as the aircon was so loud & noisy we did have a fan in our room but that didn't give us fresh air it was just so hot through the nights my husband or I didn't really have good nights sleeps. Even though when we booked it stated a superior king the room was small but we just had to make do which isn't very good when you pay £115 per night with no breakfast or mainly fresh air our room was constantly stuffy. We had to fill the bathroom sink up with cold water just so we could put a carten of milk & bottled water to keep them cold as milk fresh due to the room being stupidly hot, there's no fridge in the room which really wouldn't be a bad idea even if it's a small fridge just something to keep drinks/ nibbles cool & fresh. Room for us was a massive let down as we like to go back to our room have a chill out we just didn't want to go back to the room & listen to the noise of a air-conditioning system. Also the room was in the lobby area you can hear conversation of Guesses checking in/out also telephone conversation also there's a vending machine in the lobby at 11oclock at night is really quite loud. For £115 pn based on our own experience & having room 104 & the view out the window I would not recommend this hotel, what would be a nice idea on hotel No8 part is to offer a free breakfast for those staying at No8 as they own the restaurant which is connected to the hotel. Also there's no parking outside the hotel but there is a large car park just at the back of the hotel £9 for 7 days. I would of loved yo say we enjoyed our 3 night stay at hotel No8 but honestly we didn't the room really let us down as that is the only thing you're paying for is the room. Overall the rooms are modern & lovely decorated, bed was nice, has a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, Sachet's of milk, hot chocolate & cookies, staff friendly always said hello/morning to us when we opened our door as reception/lobby is right outside the room. Hotel & room was spotlessly clean reception is modern hotel No8 is in heart of skegness which is really good plenty of things to do, plenty of places to grab some food beach is lovely to.
