Me and my partner stayed at the Clarence House in the summer for 4 nights. The initial arrival was great and the room itself was clean and tidy. Despite this we did instantly feel discriminated due to us being younger (18 and 21). The hotel is situated conveniently close to the Skegness town centre which was another bonus and meant we could walk almost everywhere. The hotel offered us a breakfast every morning which we tried once. The portions and variety of choices were great but not our taste - which is why we didn’t go again. We were then rudely approached by a member of staff who pointed out we had not turned up to breakfast which made us feel embarrassed and belittled...what we eat should be our choice! Being fair skinned in the peak of summer meant i chose to apply a fake tanning mouse on our first night. The excess tan was transferred on to the towels which admittedly made them appear dirty, however i know from experience this was washable. The same member of staff knocked on our door the day after to issue us a charge to replace the towels and insinuated the tan stains were something else. Again this made us feel embarrassed and upset. Later on in the stay we were then informed the towels were successfully washed yet received no apology. Overall i can definitely say we will never stay here again, however if you’re looking for a central, well kept hotel i would recommend booking.

We spent two nights there and cannot praise this B&B enough. A warm welcome, a beautifully clean room with every amenity you could wish for, a breakfast that sets you up for the whole day in a 100% "guideline" laid out dining room. Lovely hard working people who could not do enough for you. Would recommend to anyone 100%!

This place never ceases to impress, regardless of the weather out side I get the warmest of welcomes and made to feel like I'm staying with family. The hotel is clean and well maintained, rooms are well laid out and all the basics you need to have a great stay. Breakfast cooked to perfection every morning and Alan and Lesley are always on hand to share local knowledge.
