Having decided at the spur of the moment to go for lunch on Sunday The Peldon Rose was after some discussion the Pub we decided on , we arrived at about 2.15 and we're surprised that they in fact had a few vacant tables in both the bar and the conservatory, we plumped for a table in the main bar...

We had booked a table for ten people to celebrate my nephews 18th birthday. The waitress came and took our order promptly, however the service went downhill rapidly. We ordered 5 starters which then took over an hour to arrive, during this time we were not attended by any staff what so ever. We had to go to the bar...

Adequate parking facilities and a character pub. The food was average and delivered at intervals. A lack of cutlery was quickly resolved and the service was not exceptional. Might give it another try and hope for an improvement.

I had lamb roast dinner - the lamb was excellent just fell apart - my other half had fish and chips which was massive! Service was excellent - can't wait to go again! The owner was so helpful and gave us the table we (I) really wanted - such a lovely old building

We had lunch here recently and it was very good no complaints food was hot and well cooked and a good variety on the menu. Food was served by very friendly staff and I would certainly go again as I live local to this resturant.

Such a disappointment. Used to love this pub and always took family and friends. After our last two visits couldn't believe how down hill it had gone. We took my husbands elderly aunt and uncle for lunch. Tables dirty, food poor and service shoddy. Also had to wait for ages for our meals although resturant nearly empty. Our next visit...

Whilst the staff were very friendly, the service was slow and poor. We had to constantly ask for cutlery, napkins, plates, salt. The Red wine was served in a cooler 😕 so obviously the staff need training. The building itself was grubby and tatty. When we did get our food it looked like we had received children's portions, the men...

Although it's a £12 taxi ride from where we live (which makes it a not-so-cheap evening out), it's well-worth doing once in a while. It's a lovely old pub, the staff are friendly, and the food when we visited was outstanding. The atmosphere, service, and of course, our meal are very good reasons to go again. Not cheap eats, by...
