Travellers' Choice
Warwick Hall Estate offers luxurious hotel accommodation two miles from Carlisle and the M6 at Exit 43 junction with the A69. Perfect for a stopover on the road north (dogs welcome!) or stay a while if you have time to explore Hadrian's Wall and the beautiful Border countryside. Private house parties are our specialty - it's what the house was built for. Take over the entire house with its nine en suite bedrooms for exclusive use. Delicious food, excellent wine, afternoon tea in front of roaring log fires, and everything done just as it should be. You'll find long beautiful walks on the estate right out the front door. Two miles of riverbank on the River Eden through ancient beech avenues, a huge walled garden, things to do, places to go.

We came as a group of 12 for Sunday lunch. Every single person very much enjoyed their food. The beef was amazing & very tasty. Huge Yorkshire puddings & cauliflower cheese was delicious. We will definitely be back. Well done to all the staff. Amazing setting on a beautiful sunny day.

A fabulous place to stay that exceeded expectations. Stopped for one night on the way up to Scotland and only wish we were staying longer. Excellent room, location and fantastic food. Very relaxed feel with friendly staff, highly recommended.

This hall has great potential although the upkeep and cleanliness let’s it down. I stayed with my husband and although the room was clean and tidy, I cannot say the same for the restaurant. The dog was roaming in and out of the kitchen, and then through to the dining room. The waitresses had their hair down which then was put into our faces when food arrived. The glasses were absolutely disgusting covered in old food and lipstick stains. The cutlery did not match and was yet again NOT clean! The tables had been clearly repainted but terribly as there were many hairs stuck to the table. The staff seemed clueless and clearly lacked training. Such a shame as the owner Val seemed lovely.

We stayed here for one night only, with our little dog fox terrier. stayed in the 9th room. which was large and overlooked the river..great views, large shower, i spoke to the owner Val, and asked if i could have a bath as only a shower in this room, She was so nice and let me have a bath in a room that was not in use at that time, so thank you for that. Rhubarb the dog we fell a little bit in love with, he came with us on walks in the ground with our dog too, so lovely, amazing grounds and walled garden...just perfect, we would stay here again, if only to see Rhubarb again...,only one slight thing and its a personal choice the bed was a little hard for me..but its like everything some like soft medium etc...it would not stop me from booking again. thanks for a great stay. All of the staff i found very nice and welcoming.
