We don't go out very often, making the most of a couple of days away thought we would try something new. This county pub has been the best we have been too so far. Food was amazing, cooked to perfection and well presented. Portion sizes ideal. The dishes we chose were truly enjoyed and well recommended, specially the duck breast...

This was a Valentine's dinner and stay over, chosen because it's not too far from child minding in laws. Overall, we had a lovely evening. Cornfields is set on a small country road about 6 miles out of Bedford, surrounded by fields. A lovely setting. It is a charming old building but those of even average height have to mind...

Booked here after reading various reviews for a date night with the wife, we weren't disappointed! On arrival we were greeted to a warm, crackling open fire, which was welcoming from the slight snow outside. Low ceilings and character in abundance here. We relaxed in the lounge until shown to our table. The dining area was cosy, warm and personal....

Stayed just before Christmas for dinner with friends & overnight stop + breakfast. This was my third or fourth visit over 2-3 years & standards remain impeccably high from this most professional landlord & lady. Lovely warm cosy room, excellent dinner, very welcoming atmosphere & fantastic value for money.

Stayed here on the 31 October 2016. Booking was easy and completed via email. Warmly greeted on arrival and shown straight to our rooms. I stayed in the Walnut Room. It was a little cold but was lovely and warm when I returned after dinner. Room is lovely, bed (needed a ladder to get on it!!) was very comfy, it...

Lovely surrounding near colmworth easily found and good stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. The rooms have that cottage feel however if your after that modern look then i would give it a miss. Would definitely recommend it and visit again.

"Wow!" said a neighbouring diner, and we both agreed. Our starters - scallops and fishcake - were both absolutely delicious, and were followed by equally stunning gamefowl and fillet steak medallions, accompanied by perfect Dauphinoise potatoes. Truly exquisite food. Service by the owner and one waitress was efficient and discreet. This lovely old tavern had a roaring log fire to...

Stable rooms done on a tasteful cost conscience luxurious style. Wife loved the towels but no bathrobe. Tv simple. But real ground coffee. No pets which is a bit of a shame. Friendly owner manager - looked after us well and allowed early check in. Well check in was just giving us the keys....felt welcome. Charming bar but lacks draft...
