Netherley Guest House was a very charming B&B in the very cute/quaint town of Ballater. We really enjoyed our one night stay - the room (especially the bathroom!) was wonderful, the maps/restaurant recommendations were helpful, and breakfast the next day was delicious. It's close to several activities - Balmoral Castle was only about 15 minutes away, and the Cairngorms National...

Ballater is a great little town- and so close to Balmoral! The Netherley House was a wonderful find. Good location, brilliant breakfast, friendly host, all in all, one of our favorites. Clean modern bathrooms and nice amenities. Enjoyed wandering in the town- delightful shops!

Cosy spotless room, fine breakfast and a great host. Went to Ballater to do some cycling, we got to check in early (11am), so could get changed in our room, and in the evening there was a secure place for us to keep the bikes. Great location in the town centre.

Found this place late in the day, just by driving by, after taking too long to drive there from the Perth area. Stayed only one night due to schedule. Room was VERY large, high-cielinged, with twin beds and a very new, nicely remodeled bathroom. Gordon was a charming host, letting us view the room before we said 'yes,' helped to...

We spent some nights at the Netherley Guesthouse and felt very comfortable. The house is modern, charming and clean. The breakfast room is very unconventional equipped compared with standard B&B's. The hosts were very friendly.

I do not want to write a lot about this BnB because this BnB is in my opinion a reference how BnBs should be. Well equipped but not stuffed, good breakfast, quiet and nice location, very friendly owners, rooms in the right size (not too small and not huge). Just everything to feel welcome and at home. highly recommended
