My mom and I initially did not intend to stop for the night in Ballater but made a last minute decision and I'm so glad we did! This place was SO reasonably priced we thought it was a mistake. We were shown to their last available room immediately and it was lovely. Double room with twin beds, very clean with...

My friends and I have been coming to this excellent bed and breakfast to play golf in the Ballater area for a number of years. Everything about this accommodation is excellent. The attention to detail is superb especially the breakfast. It is perfectly prepared and everything is home made and is a credit to the owners. I thoroughly recommend this...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Moorside House over the summer. Not only was the room very nice, we were also met by the nicest and welcoming couple. The breakfast was by far the best we had in the whole Scotland and we could not have asked for anything better. Very very good service and just a really cute place....

We highly recommend this B&B. Peter and his wife were cheerful and helpful. Our 2nd floor room was spacious and very clean. We could easily walk around the village from the B&B. There was plenty of parking behind the house. We were greeted warmly and Peter carried our bags to our room. WIFI was a problem for us but we...

Our party of 3 had a very pleasant one night stay at the Moorside. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable. The showers were hot. The breakfasts were first class, featuring home made jam, marmalade etc. and an English woman who made world class porridge! Will certainly try to book again on our next trip.

Just returned from yet another stay at The Moorside and don't understand Julia B's problem. I have never had difficulty accessing WIFi whilst sitting in the comfort of the well appointed Guest Lounge. The bedroom was spotless as always and the hosts are a wealth of local information. Breakfast is unbelievably good with home made bread, muffins and preserves

Three of us travelled to Scotland to play golf last week and stopped at this excellent bed and breakfast establishment. The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable and the breakfast, with home made bread and preserves the speciality are something else. Considering the location the WIFI is first class and enabled us to view and book a game...

Nice grounds, nice rooms, nice couple, and nice breakfast. The only reason why I am giving this B&B 3 stars instead of a top rating is because there was no WiFi connection. When I asked the host about it, they said everything was on so it should be working. And they were correct: the WiFi was on, I was able...

The room was large, very clean, and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices -- far better than most restaurants. Pieter and Lea are the perfect hosts -- warm, fun, and professional. So glad we found this B&B and hope to get a room here next time!
