A lovely home in a lovely village! Clean, comfortable, affordable......and great hosts. We could not have been treated better. Breakfast is amazing and served with humour and gusto! The parking lot is huge so no problem finding a space for your car. We spent two nights with Peter and Lea and only wish it could have been longer.

On the main road but no noise and plenty of parking, and a short stroll into Ballater town. The rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, breakfasts wow. Please try their Drop scones with all the trimmings...... Homemade muffins and bread. .

Our two night stay was a return visit and it was again a really great choice. The room was lovely service excellent and breakfast to die for. Owner and chef Lea provides an amazing selection for breakfast and everything is delicious. I will need to return again for more homemade muesli and delicious homemade muffins. Very friendly, really accommodating and a great breakfast. Easy walk into the village centre. Only a single nights stay, but would happily return. We were able to get into our room quite early for changing without much notice, our hosts were very helpfull.

I can't really fault this B & B - we only stayed one night, but it was perfect for what we needed. The owners couldn't have done more to make us welcome and the room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent too, with everyone home made from the muesli and muffins to the jam.

A very beautiful B&B, as well from the outside as from the inside. We had a very big room at the front side of the house, comfortable and cozy. Lea is the perfect hostess and a great cook. The breakfast is unbelievable. Everything is homemade and they have a special menu which you can choose from (scrambled eggs, pooched eggs,...

Our 2-night stay would have been a great experience if the host had not behaved like a hyperkinetic Duracell rabbit. Nice rooms, ok bathroom, great breakfast. None of the guests understood why, at 9:40am, he started yelling that "10 o'clock is check-out time" and "people are always waiting until the last minute to leave". Completely uncalled for and extremely rude.

We were looking for a B&B in Ballater and chose Moorside House on the basis of previous reviews we had read on trip advisor which made reference to excellent breakfasts. They did not disappoint! Could not have asked for a better start to the day! There was a huge choice of different breakfasts on offer from the menu (how many...

Excellent and amusing host who was very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, warm and with a brilliant shower. Then breakfast topped off the stay with homemade muesli and bread on offer plus great selection of hot choices including homemade pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Next time we are in Ballater we will certainly be staying here.
