The bed room smelt of cigarette smoke and the paper thin walls meant you heard everything from the neighboring rooms. The room was off the carpark which was easy to access but you needed to walk across the carpark to get to breakfast which is cold in January. The hotel was fully booked due to the location however but I will avoid this hotel in the future.
From the moment I arrived at this hotel I was made to feel welcome by the Manager and the team here. My stay was for one night in a studio room which was immaculate on arrival and had all the facilities I would require. My reason for staying was to help move my Son to new accommodation around the corner, we both enjoyed a drink and a meal in the bar area once we unpacked and settled him in. There was good selection of food available which arrived promptly, hot and very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were really made to feel at home. The next morning my Son joined me for breakfast before his first day at work, we got chatting to the Manager and I explained that he was moving away from home to start a new job. I was overwhelmed at the warmth shown towards us, my Son now feels that he can drop in for a drink and a bite to eat knowing he will feel welcomed by a very friendly team at The Homestead Court Hotel. Thank you so much, I will definitely be returning here when I visit my Son in the future.…
We stayed here as we had a party down the road and I am very impressed with our stay! The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was huge complete with kitchen, fridge and bathroom. The showers were spacious and beds very comfy, I can’t believe how cheap it was for such a lovely stay. Will definitely be coming back, thank you very much!
My cousin and her partner stayed in this hotel. They find this hotel a gem. They were very impressed with the room and especially the breakfast…the breakfast had a really good selection…and the staff were all very helpful.
We had a lovely Christmas party there. A group of 12 ladies. The food was lovely and plenty of it. The ABBA singers were good, shame it took people a while to get on the dance floor. A big thank you to Maria who took the time to ensure everyone enjoyed and had their food they wanted especially after they changed their mind what dessert they wanted. Hopefully see you again next year. Thank you
A group of 28 local Toastmasters enjoyed a wonderful evening at Homestead Court Hotel. We had four tables in the function room. It was beautifully laid before our arrival with Christmas treats such as crackers and poppers. The room had sparkly lights and Christmas garlands. There was background music available and a microphone for our speakers. The food was plentiful and tasty. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Thank you Kaska.
This hotel is in a good location, and is very close to a nice pub/restaurant. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast choice was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and always available.
Stayed here for a reunion as the group had stayed here before. Room was satisfactory although tired looking and generally in need of repair. However the restaurant and bar were closed to hotel residents as there was a private function going on. No information about this had been passed to our group organiser, despite contact details being available, and so at very short notice we had to find alternative arrangements for dinner and the reunion. Next morning at breakfast waiting time for cooked eggs was ridiculous and they were over cooked when they arrived. One of our party requested porridge ( on the menu), when it finally arrived it was not cooked and had to be sent back. Service at breakfast was appalling and not worth the price.
This was the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. We had nowhere to sit, eat or drink, as a party of 60 had commandeered the hotel. The staff made it obvious that they were going to get preference and we were not welcome. There was no food available (which was not shown on the website) and we were only told on arrival - well one of us was, but I was not when I booked in.. The staff were also very argumentative and had no compassion and low professionalism. To cut a long story short we found a pub 200 yards away and went there, which was not ideal as we had some partially disable people with us. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!
My husband booked 4 rooms for a 50th University reunion although there was 12 of us in total. The plan was to have a bar meal and socialise together. We were told by one of our group that the kitchen would be closed that night. Then we were told that there was a big event and that there would be nowhere for us to sit. This wasn't mentioned at check-in and completely ruined our plans. This hotel clearly doesn't give a damn about their guests and are happy to still charge for the rooms. It is appalling that we could not even have a drink in the bar. We will definitely not be returning and I would advise anyone booking to check what facilities are available. The hotel website was no use as it did not mentioned there that guests not attending the event were not welcome in the hotel general areas. I have only given 1 star as it is a required field. We had to book at a local pub …
