A lovely Georgian Hotel in a great location. Friendly staff and good food next to a beautiful riverside walk. The breakfast was excellent and the grounds are worth walking around. I would recommend this hotel for a romantic break.

We have had the pleasure of staying at The Hunters Moon on a number of occasions, and this Easter break certainly did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed the varied menu on offer each evening, the food was beautifully prepared and presented. Breakfast selections were plentiful at the breakfast bar and a good choice of cooked breakfast foods were available. We...

A most pleasurable overnight stay at Hunters' Moon rounded off by a beautifully cooked full breakfast served in a splendid dining room. Staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, no request being deemed too much trouble. The hotel surroundings are delightful, pride of place going to the foxglove tree in full bloom, a rare sight indeed.

We were delighted to return for our second visit to Hunters Moon Hotel for our Spring break. We were so pleased last year, and glad to be offered the same bedroom on the ground floor. The staff welcome you as 'old friends', and nothing has changed - Dining room and the Menu for both Breakfast and Dinner superb - such...

We have just spent a very pleasant 4 days at this lovely Georgian Hotel situated in very attractive grounds with good parking. Although we have visited Sidmouth many times in the past this was our first stay at the Hunters and we were a bit disappointed with the rather cool and frosty reception on arrival. We were very early but...

The hotel and the staff are really friendly, the chefs should have all the awards going as the food was delicious served on hot plates was well presented and varied. Good old fashioned service nothing was any trouble even offering to cut up the meat for my disabled husband, things like this always helps. The owners must be very proud...

We love staying here and have done so for 20 years. The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly and part of the family. Our only complaint is how thin the walls are in the back extension, although we like to stay in these rooms as they overlook the byes.

We had been recommended this small country Hotel and it met all our expectations. Delicious food, friendly and attentive staff. Really comfortable room and public lounges. Location was perfect for us with easy access to sea, shops and buses. Perfect for us to chill.

What a gem, booked as soon as Grizzly entry was confirmed. Great hotel, family run, spotless very well appointed rooms. The whole team were fantastic in making my 2 night stay a real pleasure. The grounds and lots of parking make it a pleasure to stay, only 5_10 mins walk down a very pleasant lane into the town.

Another return visit to Hunters Moon. A warm welcome and as usual the standard of food was excellent with something for everyone, and unusually the plates were hot, something we find is lacking in most hotels. A very comfortable large room and bathroom with a balcony. The staff are most accommodating and do everything possible to make sure your stay...
