Excellent venue, excellent meal and excellent service. Highly recommended. Ideal for a special occasion; it was a friend's birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special without being over the top. Good choice of menu and super wine list.

Had a lovely meal here. Nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Nothing hurried but you were not left waiting too long between courses. If you can, leave some room for dessert. Not the chespest in town but certainly one of the best.

We stayed at the Salty Monk with a group of friends for a private (early) Christmas Party in November. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and shown to our room. We then sat in the lovely quaint lounge socialising. Our every wish was catered for. The rooms were beautiful and full of character and extremely clean, comfortable with...

We stopped off at this lovely quaint little hotel on our way back home from St Ives. Inside we were greeted by a friendly landlady and shown to a table, after we'd asked about having (our last one of the trip) a cream tea. Decor inside what I assume to be grade II listed building is fantastic, with its oak...

Now living in Australia we miss these quaint old places. So we were lucky to stumble across The Salty Monk. We were only in need of morning refreshments but were made most welcome. We loved the place Great service nothing was a problem. Would love to stay there on our next visit home.

This was a birthday luncheon for me, and it could not be better. We were warmly greeted on arrival, and offered a choice of places for our pre luncheon drinks. The meal exceeded our expectations. It was superb. Our waiter was attentive, but not over bearing. Such a pleasure to be served by him. The whole ambiance was welcoming. We...

Had Sunday lunch on 2nd October 2016. Was met warmly by a young man who turned out to be the sole member of staff. Had pre lunch drinks served in the garden, where our order was taken. On being sat at our table our meal was served. It was without a doubt the most excellent of meals. The waiter was...

We were looking for a good restaurant for my wife's b'day. We found this place on TA. Great menu, very attentive service, and excellent food. Our kids are 6&4, and they loved the food. Very reasonable considering the amount of food. Thanks for a great evening.
