My partner and I went to the restaurant for afternoon tea following recommendation. We had to wait 20 minutes before we had to order at the bar. When the food came, were given pretty poor finger sandwiches, with our waiter admitting that the salmon ones should of had cream cheese but "for some reason" they didn't. We had to ask... More

I recently visited with a friend for lunch as we thought we would treat ourselves and splash out on something a bit special, sadly I've had better service and food for half the price, The hotel itself has been renovated beautifully and sets the scene well, but on being shown to our window table it was a shame we couldn't... I booked this for a special anniversary. The reviews on hotel's own site said very good but bedrooms can be a let down. So I enquired about upgrades from the D/Telegraph bargain special offer where price were "from". This enormously increased the price so I expected to be impressed with the room and I was. It was a large foor... More

The hotel has undergone major refurbishment recently and as a keen customer of the Harbour Group we were keen to stay here. It is easy to walk in to town either by the coastal path & Jacobs ladder which is accessed if you turn left out of the hotel and then right. Parking can be a bit tight, but there... More

Pianist in the restaurant and great view were slightly undone by slower than expected service and an oversight on our order. We had trouble attracting attention to pay the bill at the end. Crumble was excellent though!

This was our second visit for lunch on Sunday and this time we felt let down on more than one front. Two of us ordered roast pork and it was just disappointing, lacking in flavour, a tiny piece of crackling, masses of cabbage and a lump of carrot that had some odd tasting spice on it that just did not... Lovely new courtyard room made to a double by staff from a twin, excellent food in the newly refurbished Upper Deck restaurant and great staff all round. We did not use the spa facilities but had a look around and looked super.

We stayed here last week, the food was good. The waiting staff very attentive and the views are stunning on a sunny day. Nice but small spa area, if I went back I would definitely book a treatment. The room we had was lovely, very spacious and well kept with overall good facilities. Would definitely return.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in August 2016 costing us close to a thousand pounds on a b&b basis. One of the factors in choosing this hotel was the name Sidmouth Harbour Hotel. So this conjured an image of a hotel close to the harbour that would be a relaxing and have easy access to the harbour... More
