I am originally from Scarborough so know the town well. Chose this hotel for it's convenient location close to my late mother's home for the occasion of her funeral. Andy and Julie couldn't have been more helpful or sensitive. Although I had checked in and left again earlier, when I finally arrived later than intended with my husband and daughter...

Went with my walking group for the weekend and had a fantastic time. Julie, Andy ,Hillary and Beth all made our stay feel more than home from home, very relaxed and friendly, they really made our short break,. Food fantastic and rooms exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Looking forward to going back again.

Lovely room, comfy bed and everything you need. Plenty of hot water and a strong shower! Stunning breakfast. Fantastic friendly hosts.

You could not ask for a better host. We did not...

The Lysander is impressive in many ways for a small family run hotel. Above all it is absolutely spotless and in an ideal location to explore Scarborough! Andy and Julie and all of the other staff we met were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast choices were varied, always fresh and the full English was always...

A beautiful, spotless Bed & Breakfast. The hosts, Andy & Julie, are extremely pleasant and helpful and the breakfast is beautifully cooked & presented. Room was extremely comfortable with lots of extras e.g.fluffy towels, toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities with a good choice of teas etc. , hair dryer , TV & bedside radio alarm. All in all, first class.
