Charming family run hotel, with a wonderful personal touch. We had the most adorable little waiter serve us our toast on our first morning. I do hope he grows up to join the family business! The room was spacious and very clean, the large bed was very comfortable. My only, very slight, complaint is that the towels were a bit...

Had a very nice short notice one night stay at this lovely B&B. Warm, welcoming, comfortable & friendly. We had Room 4 a large front facing room. Warm welcome continued unobtrusively from our hosts. Comfortable guest lounge along with our room furnished in a contemporary manner without loosing the character of the building. Superb breakfast ( and plenty of it)....

Ten of us stayed one night on a cycling trip and we were totally cared for. Safe storage for the bikes and a tapas supper and plenty of beers. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and there was endless hot water to soak our aching bones. Breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for our ride...

Lovely family run hotel in a quiet location, and close to the little cliff shuttle (I don't know it's real name!) which takes you up and down to the beach/seafront. This was a super last minute booking due to Expedia messing up our booking with another hotel. They were extremely helpful and friendly upon arrival and throughout the stay. Great...

This was our 5th visit to no.17 and it was as good as ever. Andy and family are such good hosts, super friendly but not intrusive. The rooms are very spacious, modern and immaculately clean. Breakfast is big and tasty. Already booked up for next year.

Could not fault the property for its comfort; location; breakfast The rooms are spotless and the hosts are superb. The property is a couple of minutes walk to the funicular lift to the beach..and in the other direction a minute or two walk to the buses. If you are thinking of Scarborough just stay here..you will not be disappointed BTW...

Having stayed here several times, on this visit the standards have dropped dramatically since last visit. The bed and the linen seemed grubby and looked tired. The bed had the legs removed - god knows for what reason. Shower head and fittings caked with scum. Various cracks appearing on the walls too. Think this B&B needs some serious TLC before...

After reading the excellent reviews we looked forward to an overnight stay, but Room 7 lacked the quality I hoped for. Bed very low to the floor, towels needed replacing they we're a worn brown colour and very rough. Shower head needed a good clean. Wardrobe had a Handel missing.a cracked window Payne, blinds that let light in at daybreak,...
