We have been coming here for over 10 years now and i wouldn't go anywhere else, this place honestly feels more like a second home to a hotel. We stayed in The Gordon for one night and wish we stayed longer, a really homely welcoming Hotel, the family room was more like a self contained flat with 2 separate bedrooms both spacious, the master bedroom was a larger double bed and so comfy it was hard to leave it haha, kids room had 3 single beds and still... Another fantastic few days at this wonderful hotel, if your up for a brilliant time then this is the hotel for you. Lawrence is a host with a cracking sense of humour. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the breakfast will keep you going all day. They could even double their prices and I'd still go back as would many... More

Brilliant stay as usual. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Scarborough. Home from home. Lawrence is the best host you could ask for laughs galore. You start your stay not knowing anybody but by the end of the week Lawrence makes sure you have made many new friends.

If you want breakfast only between 8 - 8.30 am, like dated decor, and enjoy intrusive 'banter', then this is the place for you. Stayed here for a week for a family break. The room we had comprised of a double and a single bed, en suite with shower etc. The position of the hotel is really good. Right from the initial greeting by the host offering a cup of tea this accommodation was tremendous. Considerate friendly and offering good advice. We were lucky to find this hotel. The breakfast was first class and there was a small bar for drinks at half the price of the pub. Clean and tidy and well organized.

Had a long weekend here with wife and two daughters. Hotel overlooks Peasholm Park on a very quiet street. We were recommended this hotel by my sister and we weren't disappointed. Very welcoming and friendly. A cuppa tea on arrival and the children were made to feel at home. The rooms were fantastic and very clean and breakfast was amazing with a good choice to suite all.
