My husband and I recently had a 1 night midweek stay at the Tamarind. The owner was very friendly but not too imposing which is something that can tend to happen in guest houses. Made to feel very welcome. We stayed in Room 6....spacious, spotless and very comfortable . Luxurious bed and bedding . The bathroom whilst on the smaller...

We have just had a two night stay at the Tamarind and personally could not fault it. The welcome that we received from Christian was lovely, a gentleman who even carried my suitcase up to my room for me. The room was clean and tastefully decorated and had everything that we needed. The bathroom, whilst small, was very clean with...

Thanks for your positive comments about Tamarind, on the negatives I must respond, for breakfast you can have cornflakes, muesli, rice crispies, weetabix, toast and a cooked breakfast so how it can be described as small beats me! Possibly if you are large this may be down to your calorific intake and the large meals you are used to eating? I...

Spent one night at Tamarind with my partner. Absolutely spotlessly clean place and nice staff who were very welcoming. Parking ticket provided which was a bonus. I hate to say anything negative about the Tamarind but the breakfast was not very good both in quality and quantity. The egg was cold, half a tiny tomato was burnt, a tasteless sausage....

The hotel is in a great location on the quieter North Bay but only a short walking distance to the beach. Basic room (No. 7) but very clean & great double shower. Received a warm welcome from Christian who sorted out parking arrangements for us and nothing was too much trouble. Helpful advice given re buses and places to eat...

We went to Scarborough with my husband on bank holiday weekend. Chose B&B on Tripadvisor due to review and chose good!!! Clean, tidy room with king-size bed, spotless bathroom with a really great shower. We are not big eaters so I had once just coffee with toasts but I saw that people around really enjoy it. Very friendly owner Chris...

I stayed at The Tamarind with my sister. We were in Scarborough to watch cricket and the location was perfect. Chris and his staff were just the right mix of friendly and helpful. There if you needed anything but not over the top. Room was absolutely spotless and more than adequate for our stay. Will definitely stay here again on...

My partner and I have just returned from our stay in Scarborough and were delighted with our choice of B&B. The owner and his staff were chatty and friendly without being overbearing, happy to help with any queries that we had. The room was beautifully clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the facilities in the room were fantastic. Breakfast...
