Four of us, all family members, visited this lovely place last week. None of us had been before and it was relaxing even for just a couple of days. Our rooms were of a very high standard with views that we can only usually dream of. I enjoyed swanning around pretending to be the lady of the manor (only in...

Having traveled round the globe this is still the only hotel I've ever reviewed. We were upgraded this time but actually saw the room we stayed in last time and bearing in mind we were the first people to stay in room 12 it was still emaculate ( a reflection on how good housekeeping is). The food is absolutely amazing...

An afternoon tea for myself and my wife beside a roaring fire in the depths of winter as a late Christmas present in this amazing hall. The setting, staff, ambiance and tea were perfect and are highly recommended. Thank you to all who made our visit one to remember.

We only stopped for one night and it is a bit out in the country in a nice location. The room was excellent and the bed I would think is the largest we have slept in. A very good meal was served in the evening with starter, consomm'e, sorbet, main course, dessert and coffee, all were very nice although the...

The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and it extremely convenient for Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast. The room was very comfortable and had every convenience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good with an interesting...

As you make your way up the long driveway and turn the last corner Wrea Head Hall comes into sight like a film location for an Agatha Christie. Its stunning. Equally as impressive is the welcome by the staff who showed us to our room Room 2 has a wonderful view across the grounds. The room is well appointed with...

We all met in the bar and four of our company were staying but we were only there for the celebration meal. Daniel, who took our drinks order, was polite and efficient and supplied our exact requests very quickly. It goes without saying that Anne was, as always, at her best. She always manages to make everyone in the party...

Beautiful setting for a lovely country hotel. Some areas are still tired but they are on a revamp program. Service excellent, restaurant very good. Lovely original artworks. Shame there is not a cocktail menu in the bar.
