West Lodge has one saving grace and that is in the cost – it is cheap, but having stayed there we realise that even cheap is far too much. We stayed between 2nd and 5th Sept 2013 in room 6 and were glad to get out a day early and go home! From the start you are met with a...

Avoid like place like the plague, there is no GOOD, the recent reviews are very accurate (Davehall6t7 & lesleyonz) The place was dirty and it stank, the shower cubicle had black mould all over. As for the generous breakfast, it was very meagre (1 small button mushroom (tinned), 1 small rasher of bacon, 1 small sausage (v small), a small...

4 nights no bed linen or towels changed, smells, dirty toilet and shower, no drink facilities in the room replenished, breakfast dire, my wife and I have travelled the world and I can honestly say that it is the worst accommodation we've ever stayed in, how the hell is it possible for this place to be open to the public?

When i first booked this hotel, I accidentally booked it for the night I was booking rather than my ACTUAL dates (stupid mistake on my part) but the only trouble caused was that the owners waited for me to arrive and then became worried when I didn't show that I was in some kind of danger or trouble as I...

Very dated, however, this guest house does not warrant the terrible reviews that other people have given. The owner is very friendly and has done his very best to make everyone feel welcome. Huge breakfast of cereal, orange juice, full English, tea/coffee and toast. room was very adequate, ensuite bathroom was small but who needs a huge bathroom??? TV's in room, very...

Myself, my husband, our 7 yr old daughter and dog stayed here for 2 nights/3 days. The B&B itself was older and a bit outdated in terms of decor but it certainly did not affect my overall experience. The gentleman running the B&B was lovely and apparently without his wife this time so he was short handed. We had the...
