They say you get what you pay for, well I paid £45 for one night just glad I didn't stay longer. All I heard all night were creaky floorboards, the longer I run the tap in the sink the worse the smell got. The shower covered in mould, I used paper to cover the toilet handle before flushing. The floor...

Dear Dennis W Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear we did not meet with your expectations. We do have a dedicated member of staff who on a rolling basis cleans all of our shower heads, so your comment is surprising to us. The Grand is a Victorian grade 2 listed building, and as with any old...

Arrived at 9pm after a long train journey to be told that the dinner we had pre paid was ending in 15 mins so we probably wouldn't have time to eat, we were then given room 704 that can only be described as a cold, dirty box with a bed in the middle of it, the wind was actually blowing...

Dear Mattytraveller Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the original room allocated did not meet with your expectations and due to your late arrival dinner had already ended. We have recently changed internet provider which did cause some loss of our computer network, we ensure this was reduced to a very short period.

Me and my partner decided to stop at the hotel as she always wanted to as a child. £60 pound for 1 night is fine but the BASEMENT ROOM was absolutely horrendous. Wasn't told it was a basement room with no windows on the site and about the virus outbreak. Our room was tidy the bathroom, well there was human...

First point of call was the Grand Hotel which we booked for 5 days. The staircase is certainly grand & full of nostalgia. We were keen to get to our room after being up so early...

I have just returned from 4 days at the Grand and could not fault it - my room was large and airy with sea view. The room was kept clean during my stay. The bed was warm and comfortable. Food (premier dining) was good value for money, with numerous choices at each mealtime. The staff were efficient, friendly and courteous....

Just spent a most enjoyable Mon-Fri break here. We were part of a folk dance holiday group for our fourth visit to this lovely old hotel. We had use of the very well decorated and furnished ballroom, with its impressive plasterwork and sprung dancefloor and wonderful views of the beach and beyond. With upgrades to Premier rooms and dining, we...
