Holly Croft in Scalby is ideally situated for exploring the towns and villages nearby and walking on the North Yorkshire Moors. The accommodation, breakfast and hospitality of John and Christine was excellent and they made us welcome from the moment we arrived. The Plough pub just a short walking distance from Holly Croft can also be recommended

Wonderful stay, could only get one night as fully booked - I can see why as the place was very clean and had all the facilities you could need. Family owned and the owners could not be more helpful. Made us a brew as soon as we arrived. No room for riff-raff here - highly recommended!

Stayed at the Holly Croft B+B last weekend. Absolutely lovely place, very clean and wonderfully decorated. Hosts were very friendly and attentive. Bed was super comfy. Plenty of space to park the car, and close to a couple of lovely pubs. Very short drive to Sea. Also the breakfast was VERY good! Would happily stay here again.

We booked for somewhere to stay whilst going to a gig at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, a short distance out but well worth it. Scalby is a beautiful village and Holly Croft is the perfect place to stay. A beautiful home and a warm welcome, with nothing too much trouble for the friendly hosts. Its all the little extras that...

Lovely family owned B&B. Fantastic couple who make you feel like your visiting family. Mum and I stayed after nearing James Bay at the open air theatre. After discussing which bus to get from the station to Holly Croft. They offered to pick me up from the station. Very thoughtful of them, the room was a lovely double with a...

We stayed here with friends so occupied both bedrooms. Both rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had the double room with the bathroom across the corridor, but there is a thick curtain you can pull across to maintain privacy, so no problem whatsoever. Beautiful south facing garden and you are free...

Spent 2 nights here while attending 2 gigs at Dalby Forest. The hosts are lovely, our room was spacious and elegant and breakfast was super. We were a short walk from Scalby village which was very quaint and there are plenty of local walks. We drove to Dalby Forest through the toll road route (but we were not charged a...

After having our valentine's weekend cancelled we booked to stay here very last minute. The guesthouse was lovely. Our room was very spacious and overlooked the beautiful gardens to the rear. Breakfast was fabulous and could not be faulted. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely be returning.

We were welcomed as if friends of long standing. Help and advice were freely offered and given, even to the extent of booking us in for meals at local hostelries. The room was quiet and comfortable, the en-suite relatively spacious. There were books to read, guide books to study and maps to pore over. John and Christine had an extensive...
