We had missed out on the 2015 Christmas celebrations at The Northfield (due to family issues), so were looking forward to returning for yet another few days break knowing full well that we would be “pampered”. We do not say “pampered” lightly – the two Owners and their two Managers all subscribe to the philosophy of “of course you can!”...

We returned for a birthday weekend and it was another fantastic stay! One of the rooms was number 24 which had been updated and had a roll top bath as well as a double shower. The food was excellent and the service is very good. After a day out walking the pool and spa is very welcoming. We look forward...

We stayed with the Northfield Hotel at the end of February for our daughter's christening. The staff were fantastic and gave us a warm welcome with our baby daughter. We held our family celebrations there after the christening and the hotel gave us a beautiful private room with log fire. The buffet provided was excellent and good value. The bar...

We chose the Northfield because it was the only hotel in the area with a swimming pool. We were pleased with our choice as the pool and spa pool were excellent and it was good to see these facilities were well used by leisure club members as well as guests. The hotel is ideally situated a short walk from the...

This hotel is best described as proudly traditional, but with modern twists and excellent staff. For our two night stay we had one of their refurbished "superior" rooms (No. 28) that met our preference for a bath rather than a shower. The bed quality was particularly excellent and the room had a pleasant outlook over the gardens to the sea....

I stayed for one night in a single room, it was cramped but well maintained. The hotel has a wonderful 'old style' atmosphere with quality original decor, service and food. A pleasurable brief comfortable stay with helpful staff. I would stay again.

We enjoyed a lovely time on New Year's Eve at this super hotel. Great service with excellent food and great value. We returned a couple of weeks later for lunch and again were well attended to and enjoyed the lunchtime offer, great food and lovely ambiance.

This was our first time in a hotel at Christmas. We travelled as a party of four with two dogs. Our pets were made to feel very welcome and every thing was done to make our stay memorable. The food was execellent with a great range of choice which far exceeded our expectations. The hotels rooms were spacious and so...
