This hotel and its owner are a gem, the large hotel chains can learn from the quality of service and welcome that are provided, will visit again without a doubt. The owners have upgraded the hotel to give you a feeling that you are the most important visitor.

We are staying here at the present time. The small guest house provides bed and breakfast, plus dinners for the guests if required. The rooms are spotless, beautifully decorated, with old fashion charm. Our meals have been great, well worth eating in in the evenings! The owners are really helpfull, without being intrusive. Well worth a stay if you are...

Spent three nights here again end of September and once again had a very very enjoyable experience. The hotel is immaculate. The breakfasts are excellent and served in a charming dining room by Frank who is a shining example of what a good hotel experience is all about. This time we were treated to the high tea that they do...

The hotel was immaculate and spotless, from the public rooms through to the bedrooms and the attention to detail amazing. Frank...

I spent last weekend at the Alcombe House Hotel for a quiet little get away and I loved it! There is such a nice feel about it, it's nicely decorated, the bedrooms are large, the garden is beautiful. The owners are really nice, they took us in their car and showed us around, the amazing views, the town... I will...

Found this hotel and luckily we did! Stopped for just one night but we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived! While my Husband parked I checked in and Frank kindly took our bags upstairs to our room which was lovely and clean, bright with a fabulous view. Moments later Frank returned and very kindly upgraded us...

It is difficult to rate this hotel adequately. The price (£90 for a double) is probably closer to that of a hotel then a guest house. Yet it has many of the features of a B&B. The doors are locked early, the owner acts as receptionist, bar staff, waiter & room service. It is small & cosy, having just five...
