I've eaten here quite a few times & the food was excellent the service equally as good. Today we had the two course Sunday lunch menu, our starters were just ok although we had to keep asking for butter for our bread rolls which then arrived as we were finishing to be followed with the terrible Roast sirloin of beef...

The inn itself was beautiful, very traditional. We had dinner there and whilst my meal was good, my partner's was bland and a tad disappointing. We stayed in a small renovated cottage across the road from the pub. The room was finished to a good standard, with an excellent shower, if not on the cosy side. Breakfast, however, the next...

We booked a couple of rooms for an Easter getaway. The pub is in a beautiful location with ample parking. Our rooms were in a cottage across the road from the pub. Very modern and clean with Nespresso machine, chunky furniture and a spotless shower room. We ate in the pub- delicious food, reasonably priced accompanied by a good choice...

The meals were good quality and enjoyable. We were happy with all...

We've been coming to the woodman inn most weekends for quite a long time as we build it into a long walk around stocks moor. The place is lovely - has a nice cosy, intimate feel. The food is very good too. Nice selection of gin and (I'm told by my husband) the beer is good. However, it has one...

I have kept this little secret for 6 months and now it is your turn. Village consists of 10 - 15 houses, if that and The Woodman. 16th / 17th century coaching inn / pub. If you are booking to stay pay the little extra for an exec room, you will not be disappointed. The tastefully decorated rooms (Lounge /...

It has been a few years since we ate here, purely that we are not local. Enjoyed it years ago, enjoyed it this time! The staff were very good and should be complimented on their jobs. The presentation and quality of the food was very good, just not quite excellent as the cheese board was rather measly with it's selection...
