The hotel was in the centre of town near to the station and the town's attractions. I was welcomed by the friendly staff and was taken to my room in The Mews. The room was very clean and complete with trouser press and iron, hairdrier, rmicrowave oven and fridge. Tea making equipment was also there, plus a bottle of water....

Second visit to this hotel, (and already booked for next year). This isn't a trendy glass and chrome hotel, all show and no idea. What it is, is a hotel where the owners look at things from the customers point of view. Free, mega secure car park, need an umbrella to get from the mews to the main building? It's...

A three night stay here offered a pleasant alternative to the standard chain hotels located around Huddersfield's ring road. Our room was spacious, in good repair, and offered a comfortable bed, modern TV, an immaculate full-sized refrigerator, and a microwave oven. Room rates include a good quality breakfast, cheerfully and efficiently served. The large secure car park (sliding gate controlled...

We were a family party of 11 (ranging from grandparents to 3 month infant) in town for a family celebration. Competitive pricing and willingness to accommodate our needs decided our choice of the Huddersfield Central Lodge Hotel. A few days before, I telephoned reception about access for those with ageing limbs. Paula explained that there was no lift, then 'took...

I live in Canada and was in England visiting family and friends during most of March 2017. I had arranged to see the famous concert hall at Huddersfield Town Hall and, because Huddersfield was also a convenient jumping off place for another visit, I initially stayed two nights at the Central Lodge Hotel. This was a lovely choice, and I...

My room this time was one I'd stayed in before, in the mews building facing the main hotel courtyard. A large, quiet single room with kitchenette so all amenities catered for. Shower room with toiletries and towels supplied. Comfortable bed, blackout blinds and little noise meant a good night's sleep. The usual excellent breakfast in the morning, cooked to order...
