Highly recommend as the perfect stopover for Euro Tunnel. Very friendly staff with the added bonus of a very good restaurant. Wonderful Edwardian building being tastefully restored to its former glory.

Had a quick stop while we took in an event at the Leas Cliff Hall. Plenty of parking around the Hotel if you can't get on site. We were greeted by the owner who had linked us with a separate booking for a table at the restaurant for the evening. He showed us to our room and was very polite....

First the surroundings.... We were impressed with the spaciousness of the restaurant, the comfortable chairs and the well laid out buffets. Second, the food..... Delicious choice of 3 roast meats, including beef cooked well done as well as medium; beautifully cooked vegetables, including roast and boiled potatoes, and yummy home made Yorkshire puds! The starter buffet was excellent; plenty of...

Stayed at Wards Hotel on Saturday 13th May. The owner was very helpful and welcoming, providing us with lots of information on the local area and we were able to check in 2 hours early. We had booked dinner in another local restaurant but the owner tried on many occasions to convince us to eat in the hotel as he...

Everyone from the owner to the waitress were friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The owner of the hotel helped take our bags to the room. The room itself had a four poster bed, admittedly not an antique bed, but very nice anyway. The food in the restaurant was very enjoyable, and not silly prices. would recommend...

My husband and I stayed at Wards for three nights recently and found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. Our room was very compact and we found it to be extremely warm, but were worried about leaving a window open because there was a flat roofed extension below and a ladder leaning up against the wall opposite. However,...

Staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were leaving early the following morning but staff prepared our breakfast before the allocated...

We stayed for one night in the executive room which was very large and rather grand with a four poster bed and a very comfortable room. We had dinner in the hotel which was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Equally excellent breakfast the following morning and would certainly stay again.

I cannot rate all the staff highly enough, they were so, so friendly. When next in Folkestone I would not hesitate to stay...
