My husband and I stayed here for 1 night in September while touring Scotland, after a visit to the Highland Games in Dunkeld. The room and accommodations were wonderful, the owners were great to deal with, and the bed was definitely the most comfortable (and biggest!) we had during our time in Scotland. Also, the breakfast was wonderful - truly...

We have just returned from a 2-night stay. We were in the area for a wedding and we were so glad we found this little place. Beautiful surroundings, we really enjoyed watching for the deer. Claire and Sandy were very welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. Our bed was really comfortable (not like what you usually find in a...

Everything you want you'll get in Smithy Cottage.. and more. Wonderful place, lovely hosts, good beds, super de luxe bathroom and a fabulous breakfast. I lived in the cottage back in 1989 and 1990 so it felt like coming home not just because of the cottage but also because Claire and Sandy are so wonderful.

Smithy Cottage is the best B&B we have found on holiday. Claire and Sandy are such a nice couple, friendly and helpful. They were so welcoming when we arrived, a cup of tea appeared immediately, and by the end of our stay we felt we had made new friends. They offered advice on places to visit and the best routes...

We have traveled in many countries and spent hours in B&B's, and would say without hesitation this is the best B&B we have stayed in. The location is quiet and morning walks in the countryside are incredible. Our room was large and and nicely furnished, and the breakfasts were gourmet. Claire is an amazing cook. It was a great location...

Stayed here for 3 nights during the summer. This is a superb B&B about 10 mins from Dunkeld, the hosts make you very welcome and booked us into a restaurant every night which saved us trying to find somewhere to eat. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. It is a bit remote and very quiet so as...

One of the best B&B`s in Scotland, we visited so far. The comfort, the service, the breakfast, the kindness of our hosts, the nature around - all was perfect! A very good place to make day trips in Perthshire. Highly recommended!

Surely the best B & B in Scotland, extremely well priced and good value. I loved the scenic location (near Loch of the Lowes and historic Dunkeld, not far from Pitlochry), the warm friendly generous welcome (the couple who run it can't do enough for you), the exquisitely tasteful decor (every detail attended to, and so clean!), the space, the...

We travel widely in the UK and overseas, and found this B&B to be one of the most welcoming and comfortable we have ever visited. The cottage is located out in the countryside, about ten minutes from Dunkeld. There were deer, pheasant and red squirrels visible from our bedroom each morning. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate: spacious, impeccably clean...
