We had a great night away with our favourite family member Coco (our miniature dachshund). We had drinks, dinner and our breakfast in the bar. The hotel wrote Coco a lovely welcome letter and she was spoiled with treats, a blanket, a towel and a water bowl with mat in our room on arrival. Everyone was brilliant, all the staff couldn’t do enough for us and Coco had a great time! This hotel really is a dog loving place to stay. You don’t feel like your dog is a hindrance, you feel like they are welcome (some would say more welcome) than the humans which I found amazing! It really did make our stay brilliant!
We paid £298 for 2 nights b&b for 2 and it was so not worth it. We paid £59 for 1 night b&b for 2 at a premier inn on the way up and they knocked the socks off this place. Never thought I’d say that ever. The room is severely dated as are the electrics. The bathroom light wasnt even worth turning on it was that dim. There were tea stains on the floor covered by the bin. The “fancy” covers/pillows were disgusting. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel. The staff although not specifically rude we’re just not friendly or welcoming. We booked the hotel around Oct 20 for Dec20 it was £178 altogether. So when we came to rebook in Jul21 for Oct21 due to covid and the hotel being shut we were asked to pay an extra £120. How is it remotely possible that Xmas week is £120 cheaper than October. We had to pay as we only had a voucher and would of lost our money altogether. We were basically ripped off using covid as the excuse. We come to Scotland and Dunkeld regularly and was hoping this would be somewhere we could stay in future. Not a chance now.…
We were here a few weeks ago and were able to sit in the beer garden. the views were amazing of the river and the bridge. The service was also excellent with a shout out to Jeff who looked after us, we never managed to arrange the right time to get food here but from the food that was served up to the other customers certainly had us regretting our decision not have eaten here. Only downside was the music as it was a bit elevator style but I am sure that would be an easy fix. We will definitely be back in future. Thank you
Stayed here for 5 nights. The location is lovely, river front, beer garden, touristy village, the staff were very helpful and the hotel itself is attractively decorated. HOWEVER........the shower in our room (7) worked from the bath taps and was either scalding or cold and only a trickle of water. The menu was the same every single night and was more suitable for snack meals - pie and chips, fish and chips, burgers, pizza. This is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel
We visited on a weekend trip to dunkeld. The outside bar area was beautifully set up, a really nice atmosphere with chilled music and very accommodating staff, pet friendly. The food was amazing! The salmon pasta dish & seafood bucket, and tempura prawns were delicious! Can’t wait to revisit!
